Thanks man! My intentions were to throw this thing together after the 1.5 tranny went out and have a nice DD. Well once I tore into it I just had to detail the engine, then one thing led to another and here it is over a year later and it's still not running. After seeing pics of these AWD swaps on here and watching your Youtube videos I knew I had to swap mine. This set me back a little but I knew I had to do it. It will run eventually I promise, I just have no idea when.
You deserved a break from working on the GSX anyway. I got the set screws from a local fastener place, Tractor supply or Lowes/Home Depot may have them as well, I'm not sure. I would definately hold out for SS ones as the black ones will rust almost instantly. McMaster Carr has them for sure and any DSM'er can find enough stuff on their site to place a nice little order. Same with Allen's Fasteners. I have ordered a ton of stuff from them and it arrives only days later. They have a nice selection of 10.9 zinc metric bolts too. The ones with the flange on the head. Much cheaper than buying them from Mitsubishi.
For the vacuum ports, just take a drill bit slightly smaller and drill through the tubes. Keep working your way up until the tube starts to spin, then either back it out with the bit or grab it with a pair of vicegrips and yank it out. The hole in the throttle body is the perfect size for a 10-32 tap. Then just put some sealant or tape on the set screw and you have a clean way to block the ports off.
