Just to give everyone a heads up, as I was putting everything I could into the Colt and taking my tools out, I realized "Hmmm, now where the heck did I keep the title for this thing???" Needless to say, everything in terms of sale is on hold till I find it. I suspect my mother still has it in her safe deposit box, but I have to wait for her to check and verify. Either way, I'm tearing the house apart just in case it's here. I'll let everyone know through this public thread when I find it.

In NC you can go to the License Tag place and show proof that the car is yours and pay $15 for a duplicate title. Va might have something similar in case it doesn't turn up.

What he said, conveniently I'm also in VA. How about we just meet at your local DMV? lol

Lots of interest.

Myself included.

A title being signed over means you are absolved of any issues with the car after it sells.

Regardless, I think this has all been a bit overwhelming for the owner.

Wonder if he can pull the trigger on the lifetime project award car?

This is waiting in the wind. I get the serious feeling he's overwhelmed with life, work and the whole car process.

There is a line-up of potential suiters .... (myself included).

Ok, awesome news! After trying to get ahold of someone at least 10 times now (and having to hang up after being on hold for anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour and 45 minutes), I've finally gotten ahold of someone who was able to re-instate my car to me. I guess the DMV takes it upon themselves to remove your car from your account if it hasn't had a safety/emissions inspection in a decade :P Either way, I've paid for a replacement title, so I should have that in hand in a week or so. Having FINALLY resolved this issue, anyone who wants to swing on by to check out the car is more than welcome. Just PM me and I'll schedule a time. Sorry again for the silence. Everything is kinda coming to a head for me (1 capstone project till I get my degree so that I can start my new job which will require me to move). Bosco wanted a couple pictures of the dash and seats, so I sent them to him in a PM earlier today. The dash does have a crack, but you can't really see it while driving, and the front seats should be good (they've had seat covers since I bought it) and the rears still look fine (or as much as I can tell with all the junk in the back). Please let me know if you have any other picture requests.

EDIT - Just noticed the other crack that I had totally forgotten about over by the A pillar. So 2 cracks in total, one by the A pillar and the other down by the vent/windshield.

How much are you asking for it?
