91 colt 4g63 swap
.....BRIEF HISTORY....
trans 5spd fwd, was good in doner car....5spd colt drove great before the swap

Im using auto axels from a friend

Ok im using solid motor mounts, cross member has the rubber bushings eliminated and solid against body of car

Ok when im driving there is a vibration coming threw the foot pedals & shifter, this continues even in neutral (so not the engine) but when i come to a idle, hit a bump or stop it goes away

Axels? rotors? any ideals??

thanks!

i think its cause of the no bushing in the subframe. and the solid mounts.. the combo of those 2 will give a vibration from alot of things.

^ This, natural engine vibration imo, the only thing that may help is getting it tuned to help it run a bit smoother, but you'll still feel some vibration regardless because race car.

Also, what is the difference between idle and nuetral?

edit: oh, this a auto?

Sorry I mean idle .. When I said neutral I meant at a complete stop.. It's manual.. And I know how solid motor mounts feel.. But This is a vibration like something in the drivetrain area feel in the foot pedals that starts moment start driving and increases.. Goes away at complete stop or when hiting a bump for that split sec..

How does a bad axel feel? Iv never experienced that before

Is auto and manual axels same length?

Lost for ideals, I know the trans was good, everything was torqued to spec

Axels? Rotors? I got rid the hose clamps on the cv boots, still
Same

if you have the 2 piece DS setup then its the same axle.. the PS auto is 3mm diff but that shouldnt cause it.. I know you say you know how it feels with solid mounts..but you also dont have any bushings on the cross support bar on the frame.. making that solid could be the vibrations you are feeling. without someone riding with you its very hard to tell exactly what it is.

Well, first off, remove those cross member bolts and put the rubber back in. then go from there.

yea ill go ahead and do that this weekend.. I just had the tires all balanced.. Its like vibrating/shaking feeling can feel threw pedals and steering wheel.. But its wierd hitting a bump or a dip for split second goes away like its suspension?.. but driving and in neutral with clutch pressed in its still there.. Im gonna go ahead and get on jacks and see whats going on..
