this is a gsx i help tuned the sunday.

mods:

mitsu expo 2.4l 6 bolts
stock crank
wiseco custom dome pistons (compression test results =240psi warm)
eagle rods
ported head
delta kelford 272 grind
jmf intake manifold
dnp twin scrolls exhaust manifold
gt4088r
chinabay 4" short intercooler kit with 2.5" pipes
stock n/a throttle body
aem ems
3" exhaust
e85 (Jesus Juice)
twin walbro 255
no name brand (looks like delphi) 1600cc

My friend did all the assembly on the engine and he and Ngoc at Dynoproven did the intall. Peak power for this dyno sheet is at 23psi at 14.5 degrees. The car did make 600hp at 19.5psi with the same timing on two previous runs. This dyno session was just to see the car's potential. The fuel delivery can use a little more fine tuning. We will be trying more boost and timing change in the near future.

he made a phone video but it was not that good. i will see if he can make a good video this weekend when we turn the boost up. last sunday was just to see if the engine is worth a dang or not. apparently it is pretty sick for the boost level. let see if we can get in the 750hp and 600tq or not. i would love to see it make 800hp and 600-630tq @ 40psi. currently the record is about 730-740hp at 40psi. hopefully the higher compression can get it into record mark and beyond.

the motor came out of a 91 mitsubishi expo. the head is a 1g head with 1mm over sized intake and exhaust valves. the head was ported by his machinist.

it calculated out to be 12.3:1. it should be reading 265-270psi on the compression tester(mac tool brand) but i believe the cams profile knock it down to 240psi.

Impressive results and an impressive car, but I would not call it any sort of record. Every person thinks they have a record. I think it is dumb to claim anything other than maybe a time, mph or ridiculous four digit horsepower number.

You guys kick ass at what you do no doubt, but I just see this as a well put together car and a well tuned car. But this thing is nothing more than a hopped up 2.4L setup.

Maybe I'm a little behind on the tuning and fuel curve but isn't 12.3:1 a little too high for boost even on e85?? I would think you would need to run c16 all the time to have something that high! Very impressive though.

Not necessarily. We run a 12.5:1 piston in a standard 2.0L, but our project is N/A. You can get away with it, you just have to be on the money and have plenty of data(or at least we do). You have to hit those magic numbers you know. You keep the timing down and you can accomplish some good things.

i can care less about record. that is just a reference point to see if the setup is worth it or not. we just like to do some retarded setup and share it with people. it is good to see something new with nice tuning system and better fuel. sharing ideas will make budget racers like us perform even better.

uhhh isnt it you that has the vid on youtube with "4g61t WORLD RECORD". Not very nice to call yourself dumb... but.... looking at your previous attempts at fabrication, and your fairy dance to your car.... i wouldnt argue your point!

Well at the time it was the highest confirmed. So that would make it a record. It is no longer the top 1.6L though. These guys did nothing ground breaking. But do produce impressive cars and results.

As far as I can tell, you have not done shit worthwhile either. Your cars look like dogshit cluster fruit and banana.

Look in the build section. I have done three vehicles recently with all ACTUALLY going somewhere. There are no attempts with fab work here. I actually get things done. My truck build being the main focal point. Just because it is not show quality does not deter away from any safe and runable quality. Go back to wannabe ricerville and keep pretending.
