I checked fuel connectors, and the low fuel light still comes on but gauge just doesnt work? Are there any other connectors/relays that could be faulty? Or will i have to go into tank?

yeah my GT does the same thing... reads full till like 3/4 tank and then dives to empty...

im almost positive it is the sending unit in the tank. IM not sure.... but there might be a access panel under the rear seat for the sending unit?? or is it part of the fuel pump assembly?

Its the fuel sending unit for sure. Its under the rear seat so there is an access panel. One connector and (3) 8mm nuts and its out.

Looks like it ll wait til spring then... Thats when the wally goes in anyways... But just another quick question, its hard starting when cold, it started fine with the stock 1.6 n the 63 started fine in 1g, but im running without the sensor on the radiator connected? Could that be the problem? And some scrappers got to the old radiator and fan/sensor wire before i could get it off, so i have to wait til my next trip to the salvage yard to find one...

It could be temp sensor related but I believe the one on the radiator is for the fan, the one on the thermostat housing is read by the ECU/gage so it would be the one giving you starting issues.

Its the two pronged sensor on the T-stat housing that's used for the ECU. The single pronged sensor is only for the gauge. Check the two pronged connector, they get corroded and do not send the signal to the ECU.

Did your LX come stock with that rear deck wing? Never seen one like that.

Is this the low coolant light? I checked levels and plugs, all looked good? Just came on last night...

I think washer fluid will trigger that light also.

Pretty sure that is for the coolant over flow bottle. 1.6L cars have this but I don't think the 1.5's do unless it was an option.

On my '89 GT the light is for the washer fluid. Worried me at first too.
