The body is almost perfect, as is the interior. The clear is peeling, but there are no dings or anything. You can drive it home, but the trans doesn't know which gear to do into. I have a clear title. The thing is dead-nuts reliable, but it just started having this problem. I don't want to send it to the crusher, but I am not going to use this body. I saved it off of craigs...... The 2.4 is good and has passed emissions here in GA, but I have seen smoke (oil). The air will freeze meat. The interior is super-nice, too. Anyway, the price is $500. Drive it home.

I bought a 94 colt vista with a 2.4, fwd at an auction with a bad auto tranny and did a manual swap. So I can tell you that a manual 1.8 trans will work on the 2.4 but its geared crazy, we were taching like 4k at 70mph. As far as the auto trannies I highly doubt they will interchange but the bolt patterns are the same for sure.

Is this a 2.4 4g64 engine? Single or dual cam?

its a single-cam 16v, the only cars that got the DOHC 4g64 here in the states were high-end 94 galants iirc

these vans kick ass, I owned/beat on a 92 2.4/5spd/AWD one and it went everywhere in the snow. The ultimate slopes rally machine for 3+gear

You are correct, SOHC 16V. If you are interested, I have a 1995 7-bolt 4g63 turbo engine with the FWD auto turbo tranny. You'd have to use some different mounts, but I bet it would go right in. I also have the turbo ECU and TCU to go with it. I can make you a package deal on all of it.....

1.5, 1.6, 1.8, 2.0 (FWD only), 2.4 (FWD only) all have the same flange!
