Stumbled upon this this afternoon at a local buy here pay here lot near my house. I was really interested in it and waited an hour for the dealer to get back and then sat in it. Its way smaller on the inside than I thought and the wheel and door panel was diggin into my leg, but then again im 6'7''. Very clean inside with only a few defects. Small hole on side of drivers seat bottom near slider handle, drivers door inner handle had broke and the epoxied it together, and 2 small inpressions on drivers side rear door. Wouldnt even say it was a ding really. And the last was on the front drivers side fender near side marker and hood lip. It looked a little tweeked but nothing major. Inside was clean, motor was clean and had a new cluth master cylinder installed. No visible leaks under the car and rear diff looked dry from the rear. I was all over this for 900.00 down and 100-150 every two week till paid off. The car lot sits near a construction entrance and all cars on lot get dusty all the time despite washing them from what the dealer said. The car drove pretty decent for 140k miles and seemed solid all the way up to 65. I drove only on a side road for about 10 miles. Power sunroof also worked great and brakes were solid. Oh, forgot to add the shifter base was loose a little on the floor. Felt like that anyway. Guy was nice so I thought i'd put it up here for the guy. I figure there was intrest in this car here or the galant boards so feel free to post. The KBB is about 1100 and retail is 2100.00 but for what it is, how clean it is and the fact the intrest is added into the price, Hellava deal.
His number is 202-497-2002 and the name of the lot is Americars of Bunker Hill WV. Lot is in eastern panhandle just outside of Martinsburg Wv 25404 about 5 miles.

Sorry pics are shitty, didnt intend to post this and the sun was very bright out. Car is navy blue.

I did lay down on the ground and the car has the usual surface rust on the control arms, crossmembers and the like but any kind of rust thru was not there.

Since it has the 4g63 in it , cant you just swap in a turbo setup and ecu and call it a day. I think the CR is a little higher and small diff like the oil squirters, but thats pretty much it?

technically you can to have a fun beater.. but the trans/tcase/rearend are weaker then the turbo stuff, not to mention the gear ratio is differnt. I did intake and exhaust on mine.. lowered it and 5lug swapped it with 97-99 GSX wheels. it was a fun daily! kinda wish i still had it.

I kinda want that window stcker for my DD Galant GSX... that I am sitting in right now. I had to turn around to see if I had a sticker there, lol

This should go on gvr4.org

I am actually going to do the turbo swap since the one of the PO's of mine put the motor in anyway, and then removed the turbo/injectors/MAF before he sold it to the guy I got it from. The ECU was still in and running for some reason, and its slow as balls because of the lower compression, so I pretty much have to do it.

I am not worried about the weaker tranny because you really have to try to actually grenade a tranny, if you drive anything with respect, change the fluids, and don't do dry-pavement-clutch-drops then almost anything will hold together. How many on here first swapped their CSM with something other than the perfect tranny? the first one I had a hand in used the 1.8 eclipse tranny. I have heard of others on here running the 63 through their stock 1.5 tranny. smart? no, but it gets the smoke out of the tire.

Did you test the AC? All the powered accessories work?

ANY shakes/vibrations/noise @ 65 mph?

Dont know if the ac was working properyly as I turned it on when it was chilly, no vibrations felt only the sensation that it was an awd car when shifting.. pulling up front and in the rear at same time.. seemed pretty solid for the miles. No pulls.. felt peppy but dont know what these were rated from the factory. I think my 1.5 would give it a run for the money.
