Found a mint 92 colt hatch at the yard today that they just brought in. I was able to grab the turbo style door panels, a gauge cluster bezel and rear speakers/mounts and a cargo cover. These should compliment the crack free dash quite nicely. I will grab some pics tomorrow.

Also had a buddy do a quick photoshop of the 3000GT wheels and I must say I think they will look pretty good on there. Especially once they're painted.

Some days I think I hate you :) All of the CSMs up here have rotted away already.

What color are you painting the rims?

There aren't many left down here, maybe one or two at each yard that I go to. I was happy to see the new one that they just brought in though I must admit. :P

They will be summit white to match the car. I will be polishing the outer lips first like I did on these GVR4 wheels for another member on here.

Also I forgot to mention that the black car is not mine. It belongs to Gvr4799, I just used that pic because he had 16" wheels on his car.

They do look good on the black hatch. I think the smaller tires help in that regard a lot.

Here is the original pic with the 16" RX7 wheels. The guy that did the photoshop for me kinda made the 3000GT wheels look like 17's or 18's in my opinion. Plus when you have wheels with a polished lip it seems to me that they appear a little smaller than they really are. I honestly think they will look nice once they're on there.

Yeah I see what you are saying about them appearing a little bigger than they really are. I was once looking for a set of FD rims. So light and perfect styling.

perfect hatch carpet, at least it was until yours truly got a little bit of grease on it  . I'm sure some hand cleaner will get it right off.

That is good looking stuff man. I could use the rear carpeting for my sedan. How many yards are there around you to get parts from? I almost never see CSMs in yards.

There are about 5-6 yards that I visit within an hour or so of my house. Each one of them has one or two csm's. A buddy of mine called me on Monday and told me about the red 92 that they had just put out that was 100% complete. I was there Tuesday morning stripping her down. 4-5 years ago when I first got into these cars each yard had maybe 8-10 of them. :(

Lucky you. I've had a hard time even finding a turbo dsm lately....

The cargo cover is a great find. It really is one of the last things I need that is super hard to get. Has anyone ever taken a DSM cover and modified it to fit a CSM?

I think one from a 92+ colt vista, eagle summit or mitsu expo would be a closer fit. That is if you can find one in good shape.

Not really an update on the Colt but I will have somewhere to work on it very soon. We had a 26' x 14' concrete slab poured today behind the house. The guys did an awesome job. Not sure if I want to build a carport over it to wash the car on, have cookouts and work on the car or close it in completely and make a work shop out of it. Both would be nice. It may start out as a carport and then get closed in later. Either way I'm just excited to have somewhere to work that is slick and level.
