I think when we suggested drilling the trans mount, we all assumed it was bolted up in the pictures.

Now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure I didn't have to drill mine untill I installed the larger AWD transmission. That, and I had to redesign it a little for the stepped bolt pattern on the AWD.

^Exactly, I already modded his tranny mount with the step and lowered the hole. The dsm engine mount on the front is the problem.

At this point chris thinks it is a combination of things. one being the 4g63 mount on the front of the motor, and the second being I have the rear mount bolt through the wrong hole. (the rear mount is redrilled and i have it through the factory hole)

So im going to fix these issues this weekend and see where it sits afterward.

The rear mount should go through the factory hole? Shouldn't it? Why was it redrilled?

Definitely get a 1.5 front metal mount. DSM/CSM front mounts are very different in where they put the bolt.

I'm sure chris will chime in on why you have to redrill the mount in the rear.

I modified a 4G15 rear engine mount. They are stepped where the 4G61 mount is flat. I add a piece of metal so that it will have a flat base, by doing that it throws off the mounting hole (for the roll stop) so I just re-drill another one in the correct spot.

Yep got it today. As soon as I popped the 4g63 mount off the crossmember mount, the motor settled into its correct spot. After that everything bolted up as it should.

But now I have to take the intake manifold back off tomorrow because i snapped a brass nipple off. Other than that it should be coming together soon.

Run it. The CV's will take up any "slop" from the misalignment. Consider your hubs are much more out of whack during acceleration....
