You clearly quoted and are referring to the wrong guy. And I have no sources so I am not sure what you are talking about.

The exhuast is going to "scatter" either way. It is going to take the path of least resistence and go where it wants. Those valves were designed to work with an open tangent manifolds and divided housings. That way when the valve is actuated all the exhaust will be directed to the inducer of the turbine. And the valve is bolted and sealed to the turbing housing, so it "should" direct all the exhuast through either hole in the valve whether it is open or closed no?

I am not even sure how this thread got to this topic. I figured it was evident from all the crap we have cobbled together over the years that we don't really care what is right or wrong or what is a better way to do something. If we want to use a part, we will do what ever it takes to make it work.

We don't, nor have we ever cared about any fancy parts or science behind this stuff. We just want to go fast. We just want to go fast within our budget and however we can make it work.

Sorry to get off on a tangent and be a jerk, but this thread was a about a 75mm large frame turbo going on a CSM. Not about how we can spool a turbo the best way. I thought it would be intersting to folks to see something this rediculous on a turd bucket like a csm. It was a first from what we could see and thought it would intrigue people. We just want to haul ass and see others do the same. Regardless of our relationships, be them good or bad with people.

There are two other 140mph CSM's in colorado, and we would like to have a shot at making that three. And maybe a third 10 second csm as well. We have big shoes to fill, and are enjoying trying to play catch up with all the big boys out there both local and national.

True, Let get some more pictures and some videos possibly interested to see how that turbo performs on the little bugger lol.

Is it a 1.6 or a 2.0 Swap?

This car has been a 2.0L car for over a decade.

I'm assuming your going for a high rev setup to take advantage of that turbo. And removing that MAF and mapping the ECU off the a MAP sensor? Who makes that manifold Hanns?

When there is something to post we will. And we are no longer interested in dyno numbers. Or using the dyno for more than a controlled and safe environment. You'll be the first to know if some magic happens.

Basically, "Weve already run it and relize it was a huge waste of time"

Trev should have an asterick on the end of everything he says with the following: (*) what I say may or may not be true, but irregardless, it's meant to just piss you off anyways.

He is talking about the technology some of the porsche's and trucks are using. Basically it is these little fingers that open and close altering the A/R of a turbine housing.
Dodge did this years and years ago with the Shelby Daytonas I believe. I forget what they called it but it was this same concept where the veins were in the compressor housing.
