Sold sold sold

Price drop to 3750 will consider trades on 400+cc dirtbike

Well the time has finally come for me to sell my Colt after many months of debate and many years of great memories. The car originally started life as a Non turbo FWD car that had a lot of miles on it like 200k+ and I drove it for about 50 miles that way then the engine was pulled and in its place went the 4g63 out of a 91 or so talon and an AWD 5 speed trans. The trans broke and so I took it out and in its place went a FWD auto trans which was then replaced by an AWD automatic trans when the AWD conversion was done. The Conversion was done about 4k miles ago maybe a few less but has many many drag passes without a single break. I have not really put a lot of miles on the car as it is mostly a drag car. The conversion was done professionally at a good friends shop and the work was completed by either myself, my friend or his father. The stock driveshaft for the car was professionally shortened by frontrange driveline and the u-joints replaced at that time. The car currently has a three bolt rear end and I have an automatic 4 bolt that has not been put in but will come with the sale of the car. the automatic trans was rebuilt before being installed and had additional clutch packs installed using all oem rebuild parts and new solenoids replaced the car was also fitted with a used IPT restalled converter and works perfectly. The trans should be pulled apart and looked at by a professional to make sure all things are still in good shape and the fluid changed as I raced all last season on the fluid and went out just once this summer. The mods currently on the vehicle are as follows.
Engine:
V3 ecmlink
1g to gm-maf ecmlink cable and 3'gm maf
stock block (BS removed) and head with HKS 264 in/ex cams
PTE 50 trim turbo with proper restrictor and -4 feed line from Oil filter housing
FP 4" intake
custom battery install and wiring harness for the car
top to bottom intercooler (spearco style 2.5"in/out)
2.5" intercooler piping
HKS SSQV BOV with recirc fitting
NX wet nitrous oxide system
thicker than stock radiator
165 degree thermostat
trans cooler made for 24.5k GVW
Trans temp, oil pressure (sensor broken), and boost gauge
version 1 SBR exh. manifold and evo 3 O2 housing

exterior:
mirage turbo FWD axles and AWD dsm spindles in the front so you have bigger DSM brakes and the conversion took the rear brakes from the talon.
colt filler panel and original turbo wing
Drag DR-17, flat black, 15" rims with falken ZE512 tires with plenty of tread left
hood pins

interior:
well everything is removed and the most of the cage is finished just two door bars to complete it.
ipt electromatic controller (push button shifter)
1 g dsm shifter
kirkey race seat mounted on the stock slider but not able to moved due to rear brace.
g force 5 point seat belt with cam lock
1g talon steering wheel
custom gas tank cover

I also have new KYB Gr-2 shocks that I will include with the sale and nyother parts I have for DSM’s as I am done with them.

things the car needs.
alignment (the DSM spindles mess up the front end camber pretty bad and it needs to be aligned again the current struts are slotted to help)
tune (it just needs a new tune as it has been a while)
suspension-the stock shocks are toasted.
paint is terrible and there are a few dings on the car here are a couple pics and the rest are in my photobucket album.

Last time out the car ran a few solid 11.8 runs with a 75 wet shot, before it ran 11.6 and 11.7 on a 50 shot (thus I think the need for a retune)

I am looking for 5k for the car and am open to offers, but will not be low balled as i dont have to sell the car but for a 11 second car you are getting a good deal.

Thanks,

Paul

I contemplated the auto/awd swap but figured the engine bay was too cramped as it is. How the hell do you get the in/out?

Good luck with the sale, would make for a great track car.

Honestly.......
It fruit and banana sucks because an auto weighs easily 2x a manual trans and you have to bench press it in while keeping the converter from falling out and not dropping the trans in your chest . Not fun

I am sad to see it go Paul. I can vouch the for the seller and the work done on the car. This is a very solid 11 second car for sure and is a great sleeper!
