so what about reinforcing the rear bar? like welding on more material?
Welding springs doesn't work very well. What's wrong with the DSM bar like the OP used?
welding can be done for little to nothing in cost,

Then you'll be in the market for a whole rear suspension piece, and getting those bolts out of the bushings is harder than it looks. It looks impossible by the way.

Cheapest would be to leave it alone.

^ He is right
I ended up cutting the bolt out and drilling the holes out to 1/2" bolts and welding plates onto the chassis moutning points to make it stronger. I then cut derlin bushings and new stainless steel sleeves for the rear trailing arm bushings. Next I did weld plate steel to my trailing arm to double the thickness, Even with all of this I am going to run a rear sway bar. Keep in mind I have 400lbs springs in the rear plus KYB AGX on soft, I am really hoping to have one of the meanest time attack suspension setups out there with sticking FWD and stock appearing suspension.
