The 1g awd front knuckles will bolt right on. Not sure if you will have the same camber issues as you would with GVR4 parts but I know they bolt on.

I managed to get my old 13g torn down this morning. Removing that large snap ring is a PITA for sure. I beadblasted both of the housings and shot the exhaust housing with some Eastwood cast manifold paint. I know it holds up on exhaust manifolds but I guess we'll see on the turbo. Now I just have to rebuild the center section and put it all back together. Here is the progress so far.

why are you using a smaller 13G turbo instead of a 14b or 16g?

14b's and 16g's are not hard to find

I had it laying around, I also have an auto ecu and some 390's as well. I'm trying to build this car with stuff that I have already if possible to save cash. This will not be a race car in any way. My last colt had no ac, no radio and a loud exhaust and honestly wasn't really that fun to drive. This one will be different and made to drive daily and be comfortable. 195 hp is still plenty compared to the 92 hp that it had. :P

Plus I can always upgrade later if I want to.

Spent a little time in the shop detailing a few more things for the engine. I refurbished the t-stat housing and replaced all of the gaskets and sensors. I also got the turbo rebuilt and reassembled.

I just love how clean everything is coming out....I mean, every part of this car is going to look perfect!!!

Are you going to toss on an intercooler, Chris? If not, I have the factory 61t compressor outlet to throttle body piping w/bov I can give you.

Thanks guys! Its warming up more and more each day so I'm getting motivated to work on the car a little.

Brian, I have a 1g dsm side mount intercooler and piping that will be going on. I appreciate the offer though.

I forgot to mention the funniest part of the turbo rebuild. I had what I thought were two 13g turbos. So I took one of the exhaust housings and bead blasted it, machined the gasket surfaces flat, ported it and painted it. I probably invested at least an hour of my time in this. Once the turbo was rebuilt I go to mate the two parts together and realize its too small. Seems one of the turbos was an 11b after I looked a little closer.

So now I know that the exhaust wheel on an 11b is slightly smaller than a 13g. Seems I learn pretty much everything the hard way.

 My life story summed up in one sentence, and somehow relative to CSMs, too.

That is one thing that you will always always always see out of Chris. Very clean builds.
I don't know how he makes the time.

Thanks man! As for finding time, the car has been down for over 4 months and my engine isn't together yet.

I got the elantra brake booster and master cylinder bolted up and the modded elantra brake pedal in. You have to slightly bend the brake lines to get them to line up with the proportional valve.

I also got the modded dsm turbo wiring harness in. I swapped my 94 auto dsm ecu in my old csm ecu case and bolted it back up in the factory spot.

Wow...that Elantra brake booster looks enormous, and barely clears a few things around it.

Its quite a bit larger, it has about 1/4" of clearance over by the strut hat.
