Spends Too Much Time Under The Hood

I think my coil pack is close to complete failure.

Given the expense of a new coil pack for the 89Mirage Turbo is a MSD coil pack a viable alternative and is anyone using this? Was it easy to modify the wiring?

Not worth it. Find someone online selling a used coil pack for $20.

It was looking like a headache so I bought a new one from DSMparts. Even locating a used one gave me a headache!

It shouldn't have. All you need is a coil-pack out of an 2.0L 1990 Eclipse/Talon/Laser, doesn't even have to be turbo.
