I have a 91 laser turbo that I'm getting rid of. It needs a trans first before I attempt selling it.

So, looking for a transmission.

I live in Senoia, GA

I can grab one from a 92 expo at the yard, they also use the f5m33 with the larger flywheel. It will be about $160 + shipping though.

I thought that was the F5M31 that they used, but I could be wrong. ;)

Yep, thats right. They do use the F5M31 but it should still work fine in a fwd car with no issues. I think the galants use the same tranny code right?

The G-GSX uses the AWD version (W5M31).
And as far as my research and experience goes w/ a couple '91 and '92 Galant GS/GSR's..
It seems that only '92 GS & GSR use the F5M31. It skips '93 then all 5-speed Galants 94-98 use the F5M31.

But you are correct, Either a F5M31 or F5M33 will work.

you can get them cheaper but a fair price for a turbo fwd tranny is 350. Some place want 650.

I don't know of anyone who would pay that for a fwd trans. If you do send them my way I have 6 of them laying around. LOL

650 is what the salvage yards asked for this tranny because people who end up calling me for tell me that they called around and that is what salvage place want for it. If you can get one cheaper, go for it. I know it is worth 350 to me.

They need to get it from you if it is cheaper. You can't get jdm fwd tranny for eclipse so it is rarer than awd tranny. I already so 5 at that price so you can throw they away if you want.
