whats happenin guys...
I'm by no mean new to the dsm world but am new to the mirage/summit/colt world. I have been trying to pick up one of these cool little cars for a few years now and the other day i finally found one. Unfortunately I had to settle with an automatic 1.5 liter, but the body was in too good of condition to pass up. I WILL definitely be putting a 4g63 eventually, but in the mean time id like to just cruise it around as a daily and learn more about the chassis. Im not to sure where i should start with the car and am looking for some advice. Should i start by swapping a 5spd on to the stock 1.5 or just wait for the 4g63? Any tips/advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated!! here are some pics of my talon i have. Please excuse the lack of body work...speed before looks :)...also here are some pics of my new summit as well!!!

Clean Summit! Has a really nice interior, you're lucky. Looks like it'll be quite a beast if you use the parts from your DSM.

The dsm has since changed its setup a tad and will be receiving an aluminum rod motor. The built motor that you see in the talon now will then go into the summit. should be fun. the motor in the talon now is a typical ross/eagle setup.

Welcome, and very nice CSM, looks really clean. Nice find on the summit and keep us updated on the progress. My opinion is, if it runs and drives fine, leave alone until you have all the parts you need for the swap, no need to spend time and money twice. Just a word of advise because I did the same thing and now I have no use for a 4g15 fwd tranny, lol.
