I dont really need this car, it is my 4th vehicle I currently own. I wanted it because of the options it has, so the answer for now is no, I dont want to sell it. Plus it gets awesome mileage.

My Ford Probe GT had electronic-controlled suspension. But it didn't run off a compressor....it was more like a screw type system. It's been forever, and now I can't remember exactly how it worked.

I didn't believe it actually made a difference, until the day I took it past 100 mph and switched it from sport to soft mode...and literally I almost shit my pants cause the front of the car lifted immediately under that speed on Soft. It made a huuuuuge difference.

To hear yours runs off of a compressor....that's way cool, but it's got to hurt locating parts for it.

Both the ford Probe and Mazda MX-6 had the options on the GT's for the adjustable suspension. Essentially it was like adustable koni's. All it did was turn the screw that controls the piston orifice via a reversible electric motor bolted to the tops of the struts.

Crap, that thing is clean, is it AWD? Let me know when you need to sell it. I will pay you and take it off you hands..

Double crap, there was a 2000gtx with that same adjustable system at the wrecker a couple of months back. (There where 3 off these 2000gtx cars a couple of weeks back but now there is only 1). Let me know what your looking for and I will pm you with any new parts pertinence.

I'm pretty sure he already sold the car a long time ago.

Yeah, I sold it almost a month ago now. It was a really nice car, awesome ride and great fuel mileage. I just have too many projects so something had to go. It was fwd, non turbo engine, no leather, it had every other option on it. Air compressor still was able to build pressure which I thought was amazing.

O I C :o

How far did you get into swapping that adjustable suspension into the colt?

I think everything would of worked in the colt, brackets would of had to be made for the front a-arms to mount the sensors to for both front corners. The back end in my car would of been a little harder because I dont have the solid rear axle, the gtx did. There is a crap load of wiring for the computer for it though, the harness was bigger than one inch diameter. G-force sensor (I either in the bumper or the cab, I forget), and there is a sensor in the steering column. They called it a steering velocity sensor. It can be done I think, but it would require alot of stuff to be robbed from the gtx.

I have the manual on the gtx if your interested on learning about the suspension or maybe gathering parts for it.
