I am not new to DSM's at all, just to this joint. Looking to pick up a already swapped Colt or Mirage very soon.

Anyways, on to the introduction.

I am the proud owner of a fully built 97 GSX. I got into the DSM's after my 91 Integra was stolen and stripped. I wanted something new with Turbo and was going to go after a WRX but a friend introduced me to the GSX as it was AWD as well. I went and looked at one, fell in love and after a month of fighting with the bank, I finally got her. I had already purchased the FMIC and Turbo Timer before I even knew I could get the car.

I've had some bad luck with a winter curse where my car is always down during the winter. Just dropped in my fully built motor to spin a bearing 80 miles into the break in, that happened a day or two before the new year. I should have her back up and running in the next couple weeks if all goes well and the weather holds up.

I have owned a number of DSM's and other cars in the last 2 1/2 years I purchased the 97 GSX.

1990 Laser RS ( Sold to a friend )
1991 Glaant VR-4 #1258-2000 ( Sold to a friend )
1991 Eclipse ( Sold to a friend )
1995 Eagle Talon TSI ( Used as part for Auto to 5 speed swap ).
1988 Mighty Max ( Sold, was going to put in a 4g63 found out it was wrong year )
2004 SRT-4 ( traded it a couple weeks ago for a 2000 C2500 4x4 DSM & Parts Hauler )

Here are a few pictures of my Pride and Joy and some of the DSM's I have owned in the last 2 1/2 years.

My 97, how she looked the day I got her and finished my first mod.

12.62 @ 113.23 is my best on my old motor/setup.

132,000 mile motor, blown clutch, turbo and broke an axle in 2nd gear

Video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBoauZesiLs

I will update more info on the car later, busy doing some other stuff hehe

As for the other cars, Took the SRT-4 out to the 1/4 before I traded it in for the C2500. Ran a 14.4, I kept bogging it on the DR's.

Welcome to the board. Looks like a nice collection you have there. The mighty max looks to be an '86 or earlier model and it could have been swapped very easily

Nice cars

that mighty max isnt a 88. More like a 85ish. 88-95 are the same.

i would fix that one you just bought and re-sell it.

IMO a colt fwd has way more of a performance advantage/fun then a fwd eclipse.

Unfortunatly I purchased it from a friend for so cheap because he wants it to go to a good home and I promised I would not flip the car. Another reason I cant flip the car is because I only know of two copper 95's in So Cal. As I drive over 60,000 miles a year around southern california, ( close to 200,000 in 3 years ) I have only seen two and one belongs to him and I do so love the copper DSM's. Only color that is rarer that I know of is the metallic lime green and I have only ever seen 1 of those.

So hard to find locals and they seem to be dropping off like flies going to newer cars, like Evo's.
