I didnt have to work yesterday, so i decided to bust ass on this thing, and get it done. I started working on it about 1pm. and stopped about 12pm.

i put the flywheel/clutch on. then put the trans/axles in. Had to wait on the gf to bring me New oem strut tops.

i then put the manifold/turbo on. made a down pipe. put the wastegate on. and then made a dump tube. Started making the upper IC pipe, then realized what time it was and decided to call it a night!

The set up is.. garret 60-1 with .82 a/r exhaust. SSAC manifold, and 44mm wastegate.

I need a few feet of straight to finish the DP, and put a muffler on it! hopefully i'll have it in a day or so.

Saturday is the last day the track is open. So i'm tring to get this done, and go down and see what it'll do. I'm thinking on 15psi. about 110-115 traps. I think the stock cams will hold it back for a bit!

Also had the GF clean the hood too. The left is clean, the right isn't

Thats not white trash anymore, I would upgrade that from a lawn bird to a driveway car. Looks sweet.

when i cleaned my hood, i used scrubbing bubbles, sprayed it on, scrubbed a bit and rinsed off ALL the mess, almost ZERO elbow grease. looks so much better now.

Finally got to drive it last night. I drove it home thursday and then to work, friday. Everything went well.

Then i decided to drive it 30min north to pick up a MAF-T. and everything seemed cool. The coolent temp stayed between 170-190. I started to smell a little coolent, Thought it was just burning what i spilled earlier in the day. WE got off the highway, and it stalled, and wouldn't start back up. I have power. the headlights are bright. Everythign works great, It just turns over SUPER slow. So needless to say, I couldnt figure it out, and after leting it sit for a few min, i noticed the temp guage jumped up to 230 degrees. I'm guessing it overheated somehow, and I had to have it towed back home..

NOTE TO SELF... Dont drive car long distances on first time on the road! hahahaha

I don't think the car overheated. When you shut the engine off it's normal for the coolant temps to go up, since there's no more coolant flow and it's just sitting there and soaking up the heat from the engine. 230 is quite a big jump, so that's a little strange, but I don't think your problem is related in any way to overheating.

I was kinda thinking that also, becasue i have seen it go up a few times. I was thinking maybe it did overheat a bit. I was smelling a bit of coolent inside. B ut who knows.

I need to figure it out. I think it has something to do with not enough engine grounds.

idk...I couldn't get mine started after building it. It would just turn over but never start so I loosened the bolts and was able to move the starter up a tiny bit. Cranked over 20 times better (faster) after that and finally got the car started
