yeah, no problem, that is what i plan on doing, it just seems a lot more simple then changing the arms on the tranny. Im pretty sure the dsm shifter assembly will even bolt in but im gonna weld mine in with 2-3" spacers under it to raise the shifter up closer to the steering wheel.
 Well, I just set the dsm shifter in place to see, and they are not a straight "bolt-in". I have a dsm that has been "modified". You have to set up a couple of adjusting bolts, fore and aft, with lock stops to keep the shifter from throwing too long. The base is too short, but it seems reasonable that the two plates can be cut and front ends rewelded to achieve a bolt-in. I have the shifter raised on a couple of steel U-bars to lift about 4". I am not going to modify the plate until the rest is done (like Sept.). Oh, the dsm cables are longer.

Pics would be nice. From the sound of it, you got the engine dropped in and everything. I really can't wait to see how it turns out.

half completed front sway bar bushings

Back in one of the early posts and pics, you noted a creation of bushings for the front antisway bar. Could you give some info. on what you did? What material did you use? Source? Did you shape it or just leave it circular on the outside and tighten it in the oblong bracket? Also those hubs look GREAT. I assume you used a "clear" on them. I painted mine black, but they don't look nearly as good. (envious) Thanks for help, Bill

I thought I sent you a relpy but when i looked in my sent box I didnt see one, weird. That project was abandoned dues to lazyness and having two perfectly new oem bushing laying around. They didnt make it much further then the pic. I did talk to Matt the guy doing my swap today he sd things should start moving again by wendsay.
