Looks nice man. I still dont really know why that generation of colt is lighter than the 89-92. So clean on the outside.

yeah me either. I think it weighs like 1980 lbs without passengers with the stock 1.5L... thats only 30 lbs heavier then a 88 - 91 CRX.

i think the hatch and rear area of the 3G colts is fairly heavy....... the 4G coupe on the other hand has the slanted down rear end with a light trunk and rear...

Saw these over on MPF too.

Nice looking car.

Did you paint the dash and what not? That looks real good.

Its the doors for one, Doors on 3gs weigh a ton. I know my 93 1.5 4 door Rage weighed in at 2200 with a 1/4 tank with ac, ps etc. When i get around to working on my new sedan it should be around or under 2500 with AWD 63t.

Is this completely stock or has some weight reduction been done? If that is the stock weight this thing could probably lose another hundred or so pounds pretty easy.

Are you still on the cable tranny or did you ever locate a hydro setup? Oh yeah, nice ride!

That weight is completely stock... no weight reduction at all

thats a base model tho. No A/C no power windows, no power locks...

So this car is lighter than a original turbo Mirage?

That's crazy. I never knew that. I weighed 2375 without me in it and no a/c.

Other than that, everything is still in the car.

93+ bodystyles in any configuration are lighter than all 92 and below models. C50 series cars are super heavy in the rear, and probably just as piggish in the front compared to the CC models.

Hardly anything carbon fiber is made for the 3g's because it would cost more than most paid for their car.
