What would be the best cam shafts for street and power uses.
Should I go 264 intake and 272 exhaust to 272I 272X

J/K....what other mods does the car have? My opinion is that 272's are not overkill for the street, and if you buy 264's, you're gonna eventually wish you would've just bought the 272's in the first place.

272/272's are where it's at for the street if you ask me. There aren't many other cams out there that work so well with the stock valvetrain and make decent top-end while not sacrificing mid-range a great deal. Forced Performance FP2's also work all right I think, as do the Brian Crower street cams (272/272), and those are certainly the cheapest out there. Some people really like 264/272's, but I think they're a waste of time and money since 272/272's cost the same amount.

HKS 272s are a great set of cams and pretty much the benchmark for performance DSM camshafts. I have not heard any feedback at all and I've been searching for some on the BC cams, seems like everyone is keeping them hush hush. FP2s are supposedly a little better topend than the 272s and sacrafice a little down low, but they work. If you are keeping the stock valve train then I'd say 272s, or FP2s.

The Brain Crower cams are the EXACT same as the "OLD" crower cams. Brain, John's son, is now heading up the import R&D. Same cam, same great results. I run them in all my friends cars. Stages 3 and 4.

Well according to Crower's site and BC's site, the two 280 cams they make are not even close. The BC 280 is a much more aggressive cam than the 280 crower makes, with a .422"/.418" lift and 218/216 duration at .050, as opposed to the Crower 280s which run .411"/.391" lift and 213/215 duration on the valve at .050". I'm not saying you are wrong, but just looking at the information at hand this is what I see.

I was told that the BC 280's are almost identical to the Crower Stage 4's, the only difference being that the BC 280's have slightly less lift. Unfortunately I'm too lazy to do my own research, so I'm sorry if what I said is complete BS.

Look at the 415's. But, I just checked, and it appears the BC's have basically just moved the numbers down one. Same specs. Just differnet advertising. Well ok, the specs have changed a little

What I like is the price difference between the two cams. It seems to me like they're damn-near the same exact cam, would suck if you spent the extra cash for the Crowers.
