I'm sorry, actually its not a C50 (ours is a C53A), they class it as a C83A (exact one that adorns the 4G61.com main page) but its the same C-class body, its called a Mirage Cyborg. Heres an old J-webpage of an owner in japan with one (guy has a thing for cats). I really like the red rear marker lights. looks better than our ambers. some words are in english but most are in Japanese. I wish someone had a way of translating this:
http://netpassport-wc.netpassport.or.jp ... mirage.htm

A J-website of a C53A just like our US spec M/Ct
C53A Mirage http://www.nuasa.org/~tama/CAR/c53a.html

Another J-website on the C83A & the C73A(1.6t AWD Mirage sedan). very cool pics on the links, including some custom hood louvers, & a nice strut tower brace:
http://c83a.hoops.livedoor.com/index.html
I had to stuble around to get some cool pics,
A kinda beat Lancer GSR (4-door)
http://c83a.hoops.livedoor.com/kiyoran.jpg
A weird looking Lancer GSR (5-door hatch)
http://c83a.hoops.livedoor.com/fukuran.jpg
(I swear, Japanese kids get the coolest toys, theres a Intercooled Turbocharged robot dog named Ube on that site! )

A nice J-site on the C73A with some very good pics of a head rebuild on the 4G61t
The C73A school top
http://homepage2.nifty.com/~tatuhito_GS ... opmain.htm

Technically "C50" that came to the US is a C53A (4G61t FF), the FF 1.6t sedan is C63A, the AWD 1.6t sedan is C73A, & the AWD 1.6t h/b is the C83A. The 1.5 litre body codes used a "2" where there is a "3", & the 1.3 litres (thank god they never came) used a "1". only FWD 1.3 & 1.5 were made.

I have some more J-site stuff saved whilst I was F#$%ing around on the internet. E-mail me & I'll forward them 2U.

ive got it, its on , sort of!
It fits good, the only problem is the talons have three bolts for the strut mount, c/m have two. the bar bolts onto the missing one. Im gonna tap a bolt on, or if i can , bolt and nut it with lockwashers.
Also, the bar doesnt allow the hood to close properly, unless you hammer or remover the rebar under the hood, its only about a 1/2" in the way, Im almost considering bending the bar to be straight, but then i might weaken the bar.
Ive flipped it upside, and it clears the intake mani, but im worried about engine movement under hard accel, or decel.

I havent driven it yet with the bar fully bolted down, plus its wet outside.
Ive got pics of the bar mounted two different ways, one way is in my opinion too close to the firewall to accomplish anything, but it fits and clears all nicely. The other way, the mount is about six inches further ahead, maybe 3inch ahead the centerline of the strut towers, This might be the best for the install.

What do you guys think so far.

I ended buying the bar from another shop, the other guy was taking too long.
This bar cost me $60 canadian after all taxes. So this is pretty cheap in US money.

Sweet!

I wonder if the ones with the full circle will bolt on?

It's good to see that they fit. I would be just a little weary of the idea that the bar only mounts in one place, when it looks like the bracked was designed for two places. Is it possible to drill a hole to bolt the other piece down?

Of course im gonna drill a hole for the second mounting bolt. I just havent got around to it!

The missing hole is center of the strut mount, so if there is another bar out there with a full circle mounting plate(with holes for the three dsm bolts) it too will fit. I bought this bar cause its the cheapest, Its pretty stiff, i cant bend it, i tried wedging it between a brick wall and fence post, and i dented the 3.5" fence post(in the schoolyard nextdoor to me).
So its a pretty stiff bar. I d still like to bend it so its perfectly straight, rather than being slightly offset at the ends.

I hope this bar does something, otherwise, it'll be just an underhood ornament.

I was playing with the car today, it was nice a dry. So i took the car to a windy road area, beat the snot out of the car around turns, without the bar, then with the bar, then without, andwith....

There is a big difference, im surprised, the front end seems more controlled, and it seems that under normal drivinng on bumpy road surfaces, the impact from the one side of the car is transfered over to the other strut tower, making the car feel the bumps more. I guess its worth buying a bar.

this might sound ghetto but my friend who is learning how to weld said that to make a FSTB it would be easy and same for the rear...however I was wondering should I even try to talking him into attemping a modifed rear-sway bar...I really want my colt to oversteer....on tarmac

Hey, the site is http://www.roadraceengineering.com
They don't show it, but they know alot about the Mirage Turbo. I also contacted the guys at Mofugas to see what Whiteline offers for our cars. Still waiting for them to get back to me.
