Intercooler pipes are all welded up. This part wasn't too bad but alot of cutting and grinding was needed to make everything fit just perfect. I also reused the stock DSM BOV flange and J-pipe flange. Just chopped them off and ported the holes out a little bigger. Today all of the pipes came back off and were cleaned inside and out thoroughly and all the burrs were removed. Put some beads on the ends and painted them.

I decided against moving my battery to the hatch and got an odyssey battery off ebay instead. I also picked up a used Turboxs H34 blow off valve from a fellow dsm'er pretty cheap so I sold my DSM valve on ebay. Since I'm using the 3" GM mas in blow thru mode I can vent with no problems.

Here are some pics of the pipes all fabbed up, I'll post some more once the paint has cured and they are mounted.

Hopefully by the weekend, still have to make the exhaust but I can at least crank it and let the engine idle for a while with no exhaust. I miss driving this thing so much and I can only imagine how much difference there will be by tripling the horsepower.

it looks like that lower ic piping is touching against the side of the ratiator, just thought id mention it now because after a year or so of that motor vibrating and rocking back and forth it might wear a hole or a weak spot in that ic piping, you might wanna put a piece of rubber aroung that section of the pipe. just my 2 cents though

p.s. I love your car

It's just the angle of the pic, there is at least 2" of clearance. I appreciate it just the same though.

All pipes are painted/cleared and tightened down with clamps. Radiator hoses are on, fan is wired up to come on once the car is switched on and the small odyssey battery is mounted. Made alot of progress today. Still have to mount the overflow bottle and run the hose to the radiator. Also have to hook up the MAF-T and find somewhere to mount it. Hopefully it will start tomorrow!!! Here are some pics

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so freakin happy right now. After tying up all the loose ends and last minute details the car started right up and ran about 3 minutes ago. I got it up to temperature and shut it off. After doing that a few more times I'm going to change the oil. Man it sounds nasty with no exhaust on it. It's taken me a long time to get here but damn it was worth it. It's so tempting to take it around the block but I'm sure my neighbors would have the cops here in 5 minutes.

THANKS to everyone that helped me through PM's or just followed this thread in general. I would never be where I am now without this site and you guys.

I ordered this muffler from Summit this morning along with two polished tips, also got a 3" x 8" piece of stainless flex tubing off ebay. The muffler is made by dynomax and it has one 3" inlet and two 2.5" outlets. I've decided to just take these parts up to the local muffler shop. These guys have done the last 5 exhaust systems on various cars of mine and they always amaze me with their work. Plus summer time is here and I really don't want to be under my car welding in 95+ degree heat.

Going to the junkers tomorrow to find a coolant overflow bottle that I like. My stock one is just sitting in the engine bay for now so that I could crank the car and I can't mount it in the stock location because of my air filter. I also plan to trim my front bumper cover to fit and bolt it back up. I also have to mount my boost guage and my greddy ebc where the stock radio was and hook all that crap up. I still have alot of little stuff to finalize but it's alot closer than it has been. Hearing that 4G63 roar to life has given me the boost that I needed to finish everything.

Again, thanks for all the compliments guys! 8)

F'in right doggy, keep it up! Man that thing looks fabulous. That dynomax exhaust is gonna sound awesome in the 3" version, I know it.

Couple things though just to throw out some idears, not sure if you have found spots for some items but with the overflow can, mine is positioned over by the driverside headlight, not sure if it'll fit for you but it might, I love where its at. And I also mounted my translator with some velcro underneath the fuse box so no one can see it. Nothing worse than some guy looking at your motor and laughing when they read "horsepower in a box".

Will this car be your daily driver?
