I don't know if this is commmon with these cars or not. I couldn't find much by searching. My heater controls all work except for the vent selector switch (the one that lets you select floor, dash, or defrost). This is a problem as it's raining and the glass keeps fogging up. Is this a common issue? Anyone know what would cause this not to work? I'm sure I can figure it out when I tear into it but any preliminary guesses would give me a direction to go in. Thank you.

My guess is a broken clip or the cable popped off.

It's an actual cable that goes from the selector to the swingarms on the hvac box. They can pop out of the guides, start checking under the dash with a flashlight.

You might be able to see part of it better if you remove the glove box and the plastic piece behind the glove box.
