I am considering buying a colt, I love the idea of doing a 4G63 swap but right now I would settle for a car that gets more than 20MPG.

I sold my 6G74 TT Stealth a few month ago and I am itching to have some sort of project car

Welcome! Nice writeup on the 3.5 swap too. Why not wedge one of these in a Colt? 8)

Because a 4G63 can make more power than a FWD car can handle already, a 6G74 would just add weight to the front end and be REALLY hard to work on. Changing the rear turbo on a V6 transverse engine really sucks, so does changing the plugs, timing belt, waterpump....

A 3000GT/Stealth is a really safe car, I have seen some horrible accidents that the owners walked away from. the same accidents in a DSM would have deadly. But that safety comes at a price 3600-3800Lbs takes a lot of horspower to get moving, a lot of brakes to stop, a lot of tire ..... It just gets expensive.

I did see a 6G72 in a conquest TSI once but it was a stupdily tight fit....Very cool!

Right now I am so low in cash that I just need a cheap fuel efficent car that I can have fun with.
