I have thought of it but have not really ventured down the path of design. I have never used one personally. I want to look at one that is already available and see how it works to determine if I want to either duplicate it or use a different design. I do know one of the issues are the pins breaking. I would obviously use a higher strength dowel. How much demand is there for the pulley tool?

you could base it off that tool, not trying to promote for STM but it fit the post pretty good

I figured that...that is why you will be receiving a paypal from me later sir...

I thought I was gonna need one of these tools recently but then was able to do my lifters without removing cams, etc.
