It's not about the oil being dirty, it's more about the cardboard inside of them and it's tendency to disintegrate.

Never had a problem. Been running fram for 10 years now. I know all the tests and opinions out there. They are my cars and I do as I please with them. And they all run great and all always have. And that is also another reason why I change my oil and filter so frequently. Its just like having a soda. Tons of options, some good, some bad.

For over 5 years I've ran nothing but the cheapo generic filters that I sold at my work. I never had a problem, used them in multiple cars. Now that I don't work there anymore I'll probably stick to Napa Gold, or genuine Mitsu filters (also made by Wix.)

Running a fram is is like drinking mexican water, eventually it's gonna take out your insides.

I run the NAPA Gold filter and it has never let me down. It's the only filter I'll use to clean the oil that runs through my turbo. :D NAPA Gold oil filter FTW!!!

It is verified that the Napa filters are made by Wix. I was there getting some stuff for the samurai the other night, and figured no need to make a trip all the way up to wakmart just for oil and a filter. So I grabbed a filter and five quarts of oil for the saturn as it was about 100 miles over due for the oil change. But I always heard the rumor napa filters were made by them, but in plain black and white on the side of the box it does indeed say made by the wix corporation.
