If you want shorter stroke, buy a 4g61t off of the board from the many people who sell them for dirt cheap. or put low compression pistions in a 4g61 [1.6]/4g67[1.8] from an early model Hyundai Elantra (also dirt cheap at junkyards). Although low compression pistions are not needed if you want to do E85. I believe the 4g63 head will also lower the compression on the 4g61/4g67 motors.

As JP said, you will NEED some one off custom rods or pistons to get compression height right. It would simply be easiest to just get a 4g61t since they already have a stupid high rod ratio and are extremely cheap. The slight gain in displacement would never be felt by destroking a 4g63 and the rod ratio would be so astronomically high it would have even less torque than the already anemic 4g61 There are lots of other cheaper more ergonomic methods of reducing torque steer than this. 8)

PS. Torque is fun.
