Any recalls should have seen them taken to a dealer. If any used car dealer or dealership were to sell a car, at least by the books now, they have to have all recalls performed before the car can be resold to the public. This may have predated that phenomenon or a car that went to a yard and parts were harvested, could in theory be subject to this issue without a subsequent owner knowing about this. If someone can check out this recall and come back to confirm, that would be a great help.
