Welp, I guess this is it. Who wants my Colt? I'm going to be downsizing from a house to a condo/townhouse (not sure yet) and won't have the space for my colt anymore. It has languished for about 10 years now. I have a 4g63T/5-Speed swap in it with a ground fault issue somewhere. Comes ready to drive once the ground issue is solved. Engine is mostly stock with an Evo 8 (IIRC) IC peaking through a yet-to-be-painted "Tom's Fiberglass JDM replica" front bumper, coilovers on all 4 corners with Koni Yellows, 3 inch turbo-back exhaust, OZ Rally wheels, MAF w/translator, SAFC2, and I'm sure other stuff I've totally forgotten about over the years. I also have the rear and side-skirts, they were just never put on. I also have a cyclone intake, brand-new still in the box Evo3 turbo, factory spoiler, big brake kit complete with hubs, and all sorts of other goodies tucked away inside. Since it's been sitting for 10 years, obviously I just don't have the time to work on it at all. I estimate that I've got around $15k total in this thing over the years. Anyhow, I'd like to talk to anyone around the area or that would be willing to ship it from my door to wherever they'd like. I'm prepared to let this go for UBER-cheap, I just need to know that it will be out of my garage by the time I move. I just went out and took a few pictures, feel free to ask for more. It breaks a little piece of my heart to be parting with it, but after a marriage and 2 kids, I just don't have any time for it. *sigh* So, any offers?

I'm trying not to part it out right now. I'd like to have this as a buyer takes all kind of deal.

Hey I'm in Springfield, Va so not too far and would like to check out the car if that's cool. Let me know what time works for you. My cell is 440-476-8635 if that's easier to communicate. Thanks, Chris

Wow, this car really brings back memories. Sad that you have to let it go after all this time. Especially since it's so close to running. GLWS! :(

There aren't many wires that could be an issues if the ECU is otherwise fine an has the wires attached (ground strap at the case to frame).

Happy to see you back, but sad to see the car go.

Always wondered what happened to you!

Lady, kids, life .... Disappeared right after the ring went on the finger! Haha.

Good for you.

Someone will be getting a deal on this for sure.

LOL! Yeah, tell me about it, but wouldn't trade it for anything :-)
Under - When it comes right down to it, location location location. Obviously this car has been a money pit for me, and we never really expect to see even a fraction back, but I went into this whole adventure figuring I'd wreck it racing scca solo or something. I think we all know insurance would give us like a grand (if we're lucky) and call it a day. I guess what I'm trying to say is, in this case, time > money. I will probably be moving around April and either the car goes to a good home, or it gets sent to a junkyard to rot. I'd rather have it continue on in someone's garage than languish in a junkyard (or worse, get cubed!). I just don't know any CSMer's here in Northern VA. You may very well get it for the cost of towing it (no promises, after all, cash still speaks).

Can you please roll it into the sunlight and grab some more photos. Any rust? I may be arranging a road trip.

No rust, been covered over the past 10 years with LOTS of dust settled in at this point. I'll try to post some daylight pics as well. I'm not rolling it out until I throw the winter tires on my WRX, and even then, I may be too lazy after swapping wheels out to deal with rolling the colt out and back (now you see why it's still sitting :-P).

Do you have contact information other than through PM? I don't frequent the forum and would like to discuss offline.

Just added some more pics from this weekend. I wasn't able to roll it out since I spent most of the weekend getting my Christmas light display up. Not sure if these actually help, but found a few more goodies to go along with the car, including a carbon fiber gauge surround that I had meticulously hand crafted (re: dremeled) and several Super Pro suspension bushings that I never got around to installing. Don't let the horror of carbon fiber splinters be for nothing! :-P

And yes, that box does in fact say "Karl's random crap once again". When we moved into the house, we needed some kind of naming system to differentiate all of my "boxes 'o crap" :-D
