Here is a 91-94 turbo TB I picked up from Natedog a while back.
All torn down.
Cleaned, painted and new shaft seals pressed in.
Assembled and ready to bolt on.
I drilled out the vacuum line barbs and tapped them and blocked them with SS set screws.
I pulled a transmission from a 95 Mirage coupe with 152k on it. Various engine oil leaks found their way onto it making it one of the filthiest transmissions I've ever seen.
After soaking it several times with degreaser, scrubbing it with sos pads, brushes and whatever else we could find I blasted it off with a pressure washer.
All mounts and brackets removed for blasting and paint.
Even though it was clean the aluminum case still had a rough texture so I went at it with several wire brushes chucked up in my 1/2" drill and got in the crevices with a dremel. This alone probably took an hour or more.
Once it was all smooth I gave it 3 coats of aluminum paint and bolted all of the freshly painted brackets and mounts on with some new hardware.
If all goes well we should be dropping the engine and trans in this weekend. Then I'll tackle the wiring and pull the dash to swap out the auto shifter and pedals and dye the dash black while it's out.
Also since the 7 bolt 4G64 doesn't have mounting points for a front engine mount I'll modify the cross member to work with the mounts on the transmission case.
Rear calipers are on but I still need to hook up the e-brake cables and brake lines.
