Take that mid-wing off! :vom:

Otherwise, gorgeous car, as usual. 8)

I never cared much for the mid wing but somehow you pulled it off. Maybe its because the car is black, I don't know. I do think a colt grill would finish the car off nicely but I know you like the chrome mirage grill.
To be honest I wasn't too sure about the mid wing either, it's been sitting in my bedroom for about 4 years taking up space. Figured I might as well put it to use. I've been thinking about a Colt grille too, might see if I can find one somewhere. I like to change it up a bit every now and then.

Update time?

Threw some money at my engine bay recently... in the form of an FP manifold and a Punishment Racing o2 housing. Also got a mate to rebuild my turbo (with genuine baller MHI parts), and chucked a TD06SL2 turbine in there for good measure. Got the manifold and my exhaust housing HPC coated before assembling everything back together. And bought a new (2nd hand lol) carbotic 4 puck clutch and JUN flywheel

In other news, bought some new shoes

Old school SSR Formula Mesh 8) 15x7.5 +32. Will have to give the fenders a good roll but they should fit pretty sweet, got some 195/50 T1R's lined up for them.
Gonna miss my TE37's I guess, but i've been rocking them for about 5 years now so it's time to change things up a little.

Now i've just gotta wait for them to arrive. The rims are in Japan  I don't have the money for air freight, or the patience for container freight, so they're coming via sea post (pallet), 5-8 weeks. In the mean time, I have a rather large list of crap that I have to do to get this car back up to scratch....

Pay for tires... roll fenders
Get exhaust modified to fit up to new o2 housing
Chuck new clutch/flywheel in
Need a new intercooler, and gonna get a mate to make me up some short route piping
Sort out bottom radiator hose fouling on intake pipe
Remove dash...repair water/rain leaks, chuck new dash in
Ditch interior sound deadening cause I think there's rust hiding under it
Fit new carpet and put interior back in, probably valet the seats cause they're covered in mould *sick*
Fit my Kelford 264's and springs
New air/oil/fuel filters
Chuck map sensor in, ditch afm, throw the Link G4 and PTE 880's in and tow it somewhere for a tune
Fit coilovers that have been sitting on my bedroom floor for the past year
Get the modifications certed, probably fail on a bunch of shit.... burn $$$$$$ till it passes

And then daily the shit out of it!!!!

I can't wait to see how it looks with those mesh wheels. The fronts should fit pretty nice, especially if you can get a little negative camber going. The rears may be another issue. Too bad you can't run different size tires, being 4WD and all. 8)

I guess I'm the only one who likes the midwing. :butthead: Wouldn't be a cyborg without one.

It'll be fine. One advantage of knowing alot of people in the drift scene - I know guys who have gotten guard rolling/flaring down to an art form  If possible I want to just flatten the guard lip to keep it looking stock/tidy, but if there still isn't enough clearance they'll just have to be flared out a little.

I really wouldn't want to go smaller than 195/50. In fact if I could fit a 205/50 or 205/45 on there i'd probably go that route instead. Will just have to wait till they arrive and sort it out then :)

Only the early Cyborgs got the mid-wings :P Mine's a facelift, hence why it had the 3pc top wing instead. I reckon it looks good with both 8)

You can definitely fit 205's on there.

Ok, the rims showed up yesterday. Did a quick test fit... I think they'll look pretty good! Unfortunately I spent the money I had put aside for tires on a manual conversion package for my JZX90... so I may not have the funds for a couple of weeks unless my TE37's sell.

The rims fit PERFECT. They're dead flush with the guards and plenty of wheel>strut clearance, a nice aggressive fitment without silly poke. The guards will just need a light roll. So for future reference, 15x7.5 +32 = good :)

Excuse the horrible cellphone photo

Also pulled my old cracked dash out... sigh... what a mess

That was about a month ago now, so i'm sure i'll have fun trying to remember where all the stray wires/plugs/screws go
While it's out i'm gonna sort out those interior leaks once and for all, hide my alarm box a bit better (was meant to be a professional install, was hardly hidden just behind the panel below the steering wheel), tidy up the wiring, reroute the ECU plugs to go into the glovebox or centre dash area. Then remove all the sound deadening off the floor because i'm sure there's rust hiding under it from the interior being constantly wet. And then throw it all back together, will be the first time i've had full interior in this car for about 3 years :o

The shipping would definitely be a killer! Shipping out of NZ is ridiculously expensive for some reason.

You'd be better off buying from Yahoo Japan auctions. I ended up getting my SSR meshes for $850NZD landed ($690USD), shipping took 4 weeks. If I were to buy them locally, they would've cost me $1200+ easily (IF i could find them... not likely)

Sweet jesus, that looks good. This was the only possible way you could trump having those TE-37's on there. I am crazy jelly. Now all you need to do is take that mid-wing off. ;)
