Ok so today I finally made my own name on here... Yea!!! Anyways right now my 91 colt along with all the parts I have for it, just feels like a big giant puzzle that someone just threw across
The garage! I mean everything is taken apart! Motor not put all together yet, suspension all off etc etc!! Is it just me , cause sometimes I just wake up and think why am I even doing this colt for?? I was wondering if anyone has pictures to post of finished colt projects? I look on here and reading build threads and seeing pics motivates me!! I know it will be worth it in the end... Is just the
Stage I'm at now makes it seem so far away!! Lol so I was wondering to
Start a motivation thread of some kind?! I'm gonna list my build along with pictures as soon as I can, to help me finish this project faster!.... :partyman:

please put a location in your profile..

and yes these things take time.. I just built one for my friend who was over seas.. I got the car last dec as a running 1.6 turbo car..the plan was to have it running by july 1st.. well that didnt happen...here it is in nov..and I just got it running/drivable this past week. im still working on the tune but man is it nice to drive.. if you take your time and do it right the first time..you will love it..it is definitely well worth the wait.

stick in there it will all come together.

Thanks! Yea the colt seemed mint when I first got it, coming back and closer looking find rust underneath, rusted brake lines/ fuel lines and broken bolts to make matters worst it's the
Important bolts to that u need .. But soon as I get pics and list together I figured I start a build thread to show my progress.

If turning the wrenches and building something doesn't motivate you enough then your project is doomed.

It took a year of gathering parts and another year of building/messing with it before mine was up and running. Now it's sat for over a year, still waiting for a rebuild/front knuckles to be put back on. Seems to be the trend with these cars, if they're not daily drivers, they get built, beat on til they break, then shoved to the back burner.

Yea i was all into civics for years .. I had my 92 hb eg fully built than one the timing belt motor mount bolts in the block came out stripped hole, and the other bolt snapped off inside.. I drove home with engine rachet strap onto strut bar tried drilling out the bolt using a easy out which snapped.. I saved one hole and the other hole easy out broke inside well that was last straw! I parted out civic and sold eg and all parts and my Friend finally talked me into dsm so here i am with the colt, been piecing together for couple years finaly got all things almost...Yea anyways I finally got the two bolts drilled out! Finally get to put on the lcas and lower cross member :). Sucks that ace hardware don't have the bolts I need in at least grade 8.. Went to auto part places no luck.. Even lowes.. Where do u all get at least grade 8 metric bolts at?

Built my car for almost 8 years now. Swapped out the motor late in the game, and now have more fun with it. Car is sitting nestled in my new garage, awaiting a new, good home.
