My car came with the battery in the hatch and not much room in the engine compartment with the 1G pieces. I built my own tray out
of aluminum angle. While researching I found that a universal boat battery tray might work for different applications, just not mine.

I have seen a few Civic size batteries placed with custom mounts in the location the Eclipse uses. It would need to be custom whatever you do.

EDIT: As I was writing this ^ attached the pictures lol.

I run a Miata MX5 battery; it's tiny. I made a custom tray much like the one pictured above.

I have a Miata battery laying down in the spare tire well in the trunk. I bought a universal battery tie-down setup at the parts store to bolt it down. It lays so flat that I can put the OEM cardboard and carpet down on top of it, and it looks completely normal.

I'm bumping this one up.

Anyone know the original application for the battery in the pics above?? Or a size?

The hawker/genesis 16ep in the car will not cut it this winter.

Thanks!

Perfect!

I have the 1g DSM goodies (SMIC and Intake) so I will be building a tray just like yours.
