I can't decide on what brake/wheel combo I would like to go with.

What I have now is the stock brake stuff (small non vented rotors that came with the 1.5L) which are captive rotors (blah!)

Spare parts in the garage

13" steel rims with Snow tires
15" steel rims with some good street tires
16" aluminum DSM eclipse rims all season
garage4g hubs and knuckles with the 4X100 bolt pattern
Brand new Vented rotors that I found for 3g (I am guessing for the GT or sedan and don't fit the calipers that are on there now)

I want to rally cross and auto cross this little hatch. The snow tires work pretty well but are mounted on 13" rims which limits me on big brakes. I could always sell them and buy another set. It is FWD for

Brakes options

4x100 using mini cooper brakes (then use 4g drum brakes/hubs or switching to mini cooper brakes)
4x114 using Galant VR-4 stuff (sticking with the drum brakes in back or switching to rotor)
4x114 swapping to Mirage GT brakes (just for the front and keeping drums in back)
5 lug from dsm using dsm big brake stuff (they don't make drum brakes for 5 lug)

Just let me know what direction to take it and I will take it down that path!

Is this an autocross/drag/street car? What kind of speeds you plan on hitting?

I vote Mirage GT stuff since its the least stressful and stock option unless your going over 130 often.

I have a set of stock Mirage/Colt GT front brakes and spindles and everything if you're interested.

It is going to be a autocross/rallycross car for right now until I get board with it and swap out to a 4g63T.

SO maybe the best idea is then just switching to Mirage GT stuff, when I do the 4g63T swap then switch over to bigger stuff.

Another option is to swap over an entire knuckle/hub/brake setup from a 92-95 elantra. Its still a captive rotor setup but you can find them in the yards with decent miles so the wheel bearings and all will still be good. They have larger vented front discs that are the same size as 1g dsm's with the single piston calipers. Not sure if these will fit under 13's though but it would be easy to try it at the yard before going through the trouble of pulling it all off.

The drums on the rear are larger too so if you don't care about discs and just want more breaking they would be a nice upgrade.
