I've read vfaq time and time again and I still just want to know if there is anyone out there that has any tips on how to correctly install a timing belt on a 63t. I bought the timing belt tension tool from Miller and I am going to get all new tensioners, water pump, belt, and all the gaskets and o rings from RockAuto. I have a torque wrench also so I'm good on tools. I installed the last one on my 61t without the tool and it would've held up fine but the bolt for the tensioner pulley backed out and the pulley came off. The first motor failing wasn't a timing issue. See instead of me using the tool I just compressed the auto tensioner slowly in a vise and put an allen wrench through it. Then I'd use a flathead screwdriver to create tension on the timing belt. I got it dead on with the 61t and it ran great until the bolt backed out. Anyway any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance.
PS does anyone think I should use thread locker just to be safe?

Loctite might not be a bad idea, but should not be needed if its torqued down properly. If you do use it, make sure its not the permanent extra strength stuff.

ALWAYS use blue threadlocker on all of the bolts for the front timing cover and timing components. It's cheap insurance and bolts are guaranteed to back out if you've taken out the balance shafts (or never had them). As for timing, I lined up the crank marks and aligned the marks on the cam gears (before putting the head on the engine), then put the belt on the bottom first, then intake cam and while turning the exhaust cam a little (because the lines never truly match up until tension/the belt is on) to line up the marks, I slipped it over onto the exhaust gear and slid it onto the gear. A double verify of the marks all around and then I pulled the pin. Easy stuff.
