Post subject:  Visiting your area this summer! (w 29-32)

Me and my girlfriend are planning our summer vacation and it seems most likely that we will be visiting the west coast!

Some places that we plan to visit:
LA, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, Gran Canyon, Tijuana

Our To do list (under construction)

Gun Range, Disney land, shopping, lombard street, hollywood, santa monica beach, venice beach, football, phoenix maybe, helicopter grand canyon?, ceasars palace, luxor hotel, madonna inn, working out in a cool gym in LA?, universal studios, IHOP, hooters, bel air, beverly hills, mulholland drive, surfing, lake powell, sea world, san diego zoo, golden gate, alcatraz, cable cars in SF, Santa Barbara, rodeo, death valley?, yosemite np, in & out hamburgers, taco bell, strip club in vegas? hehe, knott's berry farm, soak city, redwood forest,

More ideas and tips are most welcome!

Then besides these normal tourist things I would very much like to meet some of you guys and your cars. Maybe you can tell me if there are any dates that I should write down for car meets. Any racing events taking place?

Do you know if it would be possbile for me to rent the new Mitsubishi Evo X? I'm 26
Otherwise I'm probably renting a Mustang. Any tips on cheap and reliable car rental places? Thinking 1250 would get me a Mustang for 3 weeks?

Wow, sounds like you've got a hell of a trip planned!

As far as your trip to San Diego, the Zoo is a solid choice. Balboa Park is another popular tourist attraction, as is the Coronado Peninsula. You can PM me if you need another other ideas, and also, if you're interested in meeting up with some fellow DSM people while you're in the area just say the word (we have 2 AWD Colts here in San Diego ).

You probably won't be able to rent an EVO, but you will be able to get a Mustang Convertible (it will be a V6.) A friend of mine rented one for a week while he was visiting me out here and I think he paid around $350.
