Greetings to everyone here on the 4g61 board! I hope everything is well with you all! It’s been a while! Spring is here in southern California and it’s time to get started on some new projects. Years ago you may remember me as the person who lost the colts to the Santa Barbara wildfires back in ’08. Since then I have been gathering up cars and parts and it’s finally time to get started. I’ve found some nearly perfect, rust free, original paint cars. 3 C10s: One Canadian turbo DL, one E and one DL non turbo with 70k original miles in mint condition. One car I purchased on this board was a Canadian car and in typical Cal DMV fashion I so far have not been able to register it here. I am going to use the 70,000 mile car to create a turbo clone using the parts from the Canadian colt. I also have an 89 Original GT turbo rust free car from Arizona the previous owner towed it behind his RV and has very low actual miles. The GT is so nice I’m thinking of restoring it rather than modifying it because it wouldn't take much to return it to showroom condition. I really have too many cars, so after I’m done I’ll probably sell a few of the cars and extra parts. The goal is to take the cars to the Long Beach Japanese Nostalgic car show next October.

Awesome! Nice to see you back on here posting. If you end up bringing those cars to the JCCS, I will be seeing you there.

Thanks for the kind words! The DSMs/CSMs always seem to be underrepresented at the show, although I've seen some really nice Starions and conquests! I'm going to get started this weekend!
Talk to you soon,
John

Well, technically DSM's aren't old enough to enter into the show. I did see a GVR4 in the show once, but that's only because the Galant started production before 1986 or something, so you're allowed to have a later car entered.

Thanks, I didn't realize that, I thought all 80s cars were eligible. I was reading the entry rules and it says all colts an gallants are eligible. I have to write and ask.

Colts, Galants, and Mirages are eligible because production began on those models before 1986, or whatever their cutoff year is. You should bring the cars down to Mitsubishi Owners' Day in July, too!
