#Flying Eagle - on friday I will take him from mechanic (for 90%, if mirrors come to me) and first what I do, I will go to... gas station ( ) but after that I get him to bypass and go around my city (it's about 60-80km) constant speed and sometimes I will take him to high revs.

About VIN and other numbers which I promised to give You - I take photos of it but on table under the hood can't see anything on photos :/. So when I take him I will do better photos :)

Hello guys. Is there any difference in Mirage (USA) and Colt C50 (Europe) on driver window? Because I've got this window from Colt C50 (in opinion of seller of my mirage - he bought this window on internet auction and never mount it. He give it to me when I bought it and he says this window is from Colt C50, but my mechanic says that this window is not from this model of Mirage. He tried to mount it yesterday. I saw it and I think it's from Colt CA0 but don't know it on 100% - don't have photo to show You). Yesterday I ordered driver window from one member of Mitsubishi Club Poland but it will come on monday.

So the question is like in first sentences of this post - is there any difference in Mirage and Colt C50 over driver window or not? I know that front window is the same, but what about driver window?

Same driver glass part number for the european Colt C50 and US Colt : MB546713
Give me your email if you want a picture from the good glass and dimensions.

Good luck for runing this Colt :D

Thanks ColtXim :) don't need pictures, now I have 99% sure that seller of my Mirage bought glass from Colt CA :).

Have question from another barrel - how many HP/Nm got fully stock Mirage Turbo (USA) on dyno pull? Is it around the catalog (135KM/191Nm) or got less/more power? I will go to the dyno next week I think and I will get the answer but I would like to know what can I expect from dyno pull of my Mirage.

Mitsubishi catalogs from 90's got many little lies. I'm thinking about CA0 Cyborgs (catalog 175HP, dyno 150-160HP) and about CJ0 1.6 SOHC (catalog 90HP, dyno 99-104HP), so I'm curious about Mirage :)

I hope the Colt has a good maintenance before a dyno ...
-Filters
-Oils
-Timing belt
-Fresh gas
-No leaks
-Etc ...

Post subject:  Re: Mitsubishi Mirage Turbo '89 from Poland

Yes it has. Mechanic change:

- timing belt (Mitsuboshi),
- filters,
- oil (now it's "only" Motul 10w40 but after 5000km I will change it to 10w60. It's semisynthetic because previous owner oiled it with semisynthetic and I don't want to change it because of no leaks - except valve cover gasket - I will change it, but my mechanic told me that he has no trust to aftermarket parts and reccomended me to buy OEM gasket in authorized serivce)

But still waiting for driver glass :P

Maybe all timing components like belt, tensioner, pulleys
And also:
Water pump
Air + Oil + fuel filters
Spark plugs + wires
Check your ignition timing
Replace your brake fluid
10W40 is good for your engine, look for 300V ( best European oil but expensive )
Red Line MT90 for the tranny, or any good GL4 only
Replace the three capacitors inside the ECU, know for leaking and killing the ECU board

Look the archive here !

140 HP with 91 Octane fuel. Not sure how you guys rate octane but if 91 seems low then whichever highest Octane you have at the pumps aka "premium" fuel is what the car has to run. It old fuel is still in the fuel tank, and you get "knock" as seen by the ECU, it may retard timing and drop the power level. As suggested a good maintenance is in order first, then dyno testing. Just a suggestion.

Mirage has done about 200 miles since 5 days. Nothing distressing about it right now. It sometimes smoke on blue, but only sometimes. I think it will be valve sealants. Some photos from today and one movie:

Mirage was on dyno today and that's a graph:

Everything stock without muffler which is from euopean GTi version, so my Mirage got bonus from factory(?).

And movie from today:

Soon I go to mechanic to change/fix:

- valve cover gasket,
- front stabilizer rubbers (Is Mirage got rear stabilizer stock?)
- check lambda probe (it's smokes on black)
- check fuel line (I smell fuel inside and my friend which ride behind me yesterday told me that he smells it too on his car)
- valve sealants (priority!)

#Peppi - really don't know, don't remember to ask. But if You look at speed and rpms that I think it's on 5th gear.

Mates, please look at the video from dyno and look at blue smoke when driver release the gas. Today I talk with my friends and we get to argument that turbo in my Mirage is saying "good bye". Why? Because when driver pressed gas there is no smoke from muffler, turbo got boost, but when driver release gas (boost is negative) blue smoke is going from muffler without any pressure.

Is my argument correct? What You think?

Post subject:  Re: Mitsubishi Mirage Turbo '89 from Poland

If turbo=bad, it would smoke when producing boost (on gas).

I would do a leak-down test to check the valve seals and rings.

#Mechacode - yep, turbo air intakes are dry, so it isn't turbo. Mechanic will change valve sealants without pull off the head. My question is - From which Mitsubishi engines valve sealants are the same like in 4g61T? Can I look at all 4g6x series or only selected engines?
