Got rid of the stupid auto seatbelts. They wouldn't be so bad if they worked but like most things on the Turd, they didn't. I installed 1G DSM Canadian seatbelts. I had to do a little bit of work to get them in there right but it wasn't too bad. Here's the hole I cut in the B pillar.  And here are the reupholstered seats.

I had to make a rear package tray as mine was missing. I just built a wood frame and got some material to cover it. I don't have it stapled to the frame yet hence it drooping. I have to pull it tight then staple it underneath. I also completely removed the interior and added a bunch of sound deadening material to all the metal panels I could. I also put a bunch of foam blocks cut to odd shapes in the dead space between the inner and outer fender panels. With that and my unpopular STI exhaust  , its really darn quiet driving down the road now. Great for my long commute each day!

I have an extra rear shelf, if you ever make it down past Portland I will set you up. what did you use for the tar/foil sond deadening? if I use any it will probably be the Home Depot stuff meant for roofs, because its cheap. ~joe |

My parents live in Albany. We were just down there Memorial Day weekend. I used the Home Depot stuff too. Its furnace duct insulation tape and comes in rolls. Sure it doesn't work as good as heavier stuff like dynamat but its nowhere near as heavy too which is a plus. I don't want to add a bunch of weight. |

Installed a Supra SMIC today. Got it tucked in the fender where the 1g DSM one was. It still uses the 2" i/c pipes that the previous owner made for now until I get more time to make some 2.5" pipes. I took some pics too. I'll try to get them uploaded sometime. |

Got around to making new ic pipes. The previous owner had installed a stock 1g DSM SMIC and 2" piping. I put the Supra SMIC in and now 2.5" piping. I was pretty pleased with the pipes as they are pretty short and direct. Especially the TB pipe, it's super straight with only a 90* bend at the bottom.

I should mention too that my large body 3" cat con had a brick work loose inside and started to rattle. It annoyed me so I took a crowbar to it and hollowed it out. Now I just run the STI factory muffler and that's it. Man does it sound good! It's still quiet driving it yet when under boost it has a really fine exhaust note to it! I couldn't be happier. |

Damn. And wouldn't you know it, I got rear ended today by some old lady! Suspension looks ok but it bent the rear floorpan, my STI exhaust and rear bumper and more cosmetic damage.

Man im sorry to hear. I hate the feeling when you car gets in accident. Ive been rear ended before not a good feeling. As long as your ok things can be fixed or bought. Hope you got her insurance info
