Well....damn! Just got into my own house (fortunately renting), paid deposit after deposit and more for two different power utilities, phone and internet, while the mirage has been on the fritz after the 1,000 mile journey and 600+ I've put on it since being here....and now....looks like I will be going back home! That is if I can actually afford to.

Had a blowout with my boss. The biggest hardass in McClean county....and I hadn't minded that until he went TOTAL crabapple jackass on me the other day. We are farming in some of the muckiest fields in all of history....so I understand his level of stress he must be under. Maybe will only get half of his usual crops in, so yeah.

I've never been called so many different things in one hour by anyone I ever worked for....and in this case, I certainly didn't deserve it. First time in my life I played the game of 30 questions where every answer is the wrong answer and they still want you to play. Maybe the first time also I was seven miles from a town and felt like walking it rather than get a ride back from this A-hole.

I sold a lot of my belongings...including my beloved Colt...in order to get out here, and now I wished that I hadn't. I'm not sure how to square up with everything over here, but as soon as I do...my location will change again. Hehehe..rats! My bones never rest.

Absolutely, sir! I'll be here for a while yet. I can't do any long distance driving until I swap out my front wheel bearings.

That sucks man but I don't blame you one bit. I feel your pain, I went through something similar working at a body shop. The guy was a complete asshole and it just wasn't worth what he was paying me to put up with it. Things will get better though.

I left a very good job for similar reasons. No shame in refusing to work for someone like that at all.

I quit working for Dodge because of raging doooshbags. I can't tell you what to do with your life, but keep your options open, and follow your heart. Someday you'll find yourself right where you want to be.

Unless you are concientously objective to frack drilling, that would be a good move. No dice. :D

So what has you in objection to "frack drilling?"

I've heard of that, but I thought it was something to do with natural gas mining. What the frack is it, and how the frack does it work?

I'd rather be pulling potatos out of the ground, guys. Actually....I've learned to keep my opinions on this board to non-existent level a long time ago. People can do whatever they want with this world, and maybe that's the only opinion I share. 8)

I'm sorryto hear about your dick boss. I worked for a similar guy last summer driving tractor, EVERY ingle thing that he could bitch about he did and then some. We (the guys on the field raking/bailing/scooping 1500lb bales of hay) would coordinate which field was next and who was where via CB and he would bitch about talking too much on the radio, and when we stopped he bitched about not communicating enough and everyone was getting confused. We had a bunch of guys quit for things like that, I just refuse to go back to work there. 12-16hr days 7 days a week makes for nice paychecks, but a hell of a life.

I respect that you keep your opinions off the internet, I do the same as much as possible because there are so many people that use the internet as their soapbox. I just had a buddy move away to get on with an operation in your area because the money is right for his family. As far as what Frack drilling is, here is the wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydraulic_fracturing

You took a chance and it didn't quite go as you wanted but you gotta make the best of it bro! Maybe another farm in the area needs help? Wouldn't hurt to look around, even seasonal work will get you enough money to go wherever you'd like. Good luck man.
