Hey guys, im from Australia and only just signed up so that i could find some parts but ive been having a look around the site and its really good with heaps of helpful info. I don't know the equivalent of my car over there but here its a 1993 CC Lancer GLXi and bought it back in feb 2009 and was completely stock. It was given to me by my parents, at first i was just adding bits and pieces to it and had no plans on getting it this far. Unfortunately i do not have many photos of it when it was purchased except for the ones that were on the internet ad.
here are some stuff that ive done to it
-Engine
4G92 1.6 (stock)

-Interior
GSR White Dials
Seat Covers
Steering Wheel

-Exterior
CB GSR Body Kit (i believe its also know as GTi)
GSR Rear Lights
Colour Coded Mirrors
Rear Garnish
Chrome Door Handles
Roof Re-sprayed (but rust coming through again)

-Audio
Rear Speakers
Kenwood Head Unit

Hopefully Future mods
-Window tint
-Repaint most of body kit silver
-Bumper lip-purchased
-Hood vents-purchased
-Front Grill

here are the lastest photos i have

will keep updated as a fair bit of the blue is being painted silver cause don't want it to be to over top with blue.
Cheers

Oh, it's a P Plater! I've heard the fuzz are particularily hard on the youth drivers in AUS with those P plates. No mods, engine size restrictions etc etc. Am I confusing this with NZ or was this indeed the situation with Australia's licensing for beginner drivers?

na your correct, but it depends a lot on how you react to them and the type of person you are. If you start being smart about it and start talking back they will pin you for every thing but if you just accept the fine they don't hassle you. but generally they focus a lot on speeding and heaps of ads on tv about it. Maybe instead of spending money on ad's they should spend it on fixing the millions of pot holes in sydney.
anyways got a new grill and have taken the rear spoiler of to paint in silver but its really annoying because something always seems to stuff up the paint. im thinking maybe to take badges off but not sure if the paint will be stuffed under it.

That car is super sexy. Any idea if the front bumper would fit my 89 summit sedan? I love the car! The stock body styling is amazing...why do we never get the good stuff here in the states?

100% compatible if you have all the metal pieces.

Ignoring engine, mounts, wiring, options....for all intensive purposes, sedans/5doors/hatchbacks, all share the same basic architecture from the dash forward. This excludes the windshield and front brakes (between different 1.5 cars).

Essentially everything dash forward is 100% interchangeable in some way, throughout the world. Everything else is about 80% between sedans, hatchs, and 5 doors.

update on the car: painted spoiler sliver, debadged and ended up painting the whole sections where the letters go cause of rust below key hole as well as the debadging not going well on an old car.:P
only problem was that i accidently took off some paint of the rear garnish and now i don't really feel like painting the piece and im thinking maybe buy another garnish thats the same as the lights.

Your car is really clean man. The engine looks like you could eat off of it. Keep up the good work buddy. Next, you need an intake and exhaust...
