Intentions have been from the start to swap this thing. Now that i have a driver i am knee deep into it and hoping to get it close to running this weekend! I am just swapping a stock drive train for now until i have more $$$ and time.

Alright so Parts list is the first thing i guess you guys need:

91 Mirage 1.5 car 5 speed very clean chassis and interior 140k when i got the car.
90 Laser parts car running and driving with a bad 14b

Motor Parts:
Full 1.6 gt mount setup
Urethane replacements front and rear and urethane filled upper and trans (i filled those)
t25 in good shape
Magnus SMIM (cracked and re-welded BOUGHT CHEAP)
SBR cast mani
Megan racing external gate (came with the manifold)

Transmission:
Stock with gt axles and half shaft

Suspension:
Megan racing full coilover setup modified (the car to fit these, check out the thread for pics)

Brakes (Front):
Elantra booster and master as well a Prop valve
Galant VR4 hubs
Galant VR4 Calipers
Galant VR4 Slotted rotors and ceramic pads
Galant VR4 Stainless braided encased in black plastic coating!
(Rear):
Gt rear disk setup
Slotted GVR4 rotors and ceramic pads

Exhaust:
3" mandrel 2g awd DP
The rest will be 3" custom made

Wheels:
Oz rally wheels (200 with tires! Stole them from a local guy)

Interior:
gt 9k tach
will be modifying DC2 integra seats to fit...

Wiring:
Tore the 90 harness apart and modified the Shat out of it!
Made my own jumper harness based on the idea of 89mirageman and using alldata, mitchell, and the archives

Also made a jumper harness for my cd player out of the original radio

That car looks CLEAN!!


I'd use the stock DSM intake manifold untill you upgrad turbos.. I had a magnus when i first built my black colt and it was the worst mod i did. UNTILL i put a big turbo on the car. It just made it real laggy.. I had 450s/eIII 16g/MAFT

I am expecting some lag yeah but i have plans REALLY SOON for a bigger turbo so i think i'll be able to handle it for a little bit...and Thanks :D

Update!

...my 3 days off working on this car were not even close to as productive as i thought they would be. However, i did manage to get a couple things done. So without further adieu here those pics are:

As i will be running the T25 with external gate i thought i would close that dang flapper door

I also thought that since i was going to put some brakes on this bad boy i would install the elantra booster, M/C, and prop valve. Here is a Before and After mock up:
