being i have two sedans. The one I daily drive is 10x cleaner then the first one i bought. So i decided to make the first one my beater. Was going to do a 2.0 na swap and daily it. But quicky realized I could do a 2.0T built even cheaper! I'll snap some pictures in the next few days. here are the parts i have gathered so far.. Im trying to keep this as cheap as possible.

91 Sedan auto 100k miles -$700
66k 2.0 4G63T -$150
99 GST trans -FREE
slightly used ACT2600 - FREE
91 engine harness - FREE
Fadanza? alum. flywheel 1000 miles - $50
24x12x3'' FMIC -$20
3 sets of shift cables, shifter/base - $30
hydro pedal assembly -15
Swap mounts -$10
Slightly used walbro 255 -$20
Shift fork for 2g trans $50

As of now i have roughly $1000 in it. I'll be taking some parts off of my GSX and using them on this car, since i'll be upgrading for my other sedan. the parts i'll be using are

.57 trim
evoIII mani
BR o2 housing, custom made to use 38mm Chinabay WG
MAFT
boost guage.

I wont need to much more, between me and a few friends i'm sure i will have 99% of things to get this pig running, and runnig extremely well. I'll get pictures this week! woooo

Different diff, way different axle splines. You either have to get custom axles or do some diff-swapping or something.

It's not an auto and I'll give him a FWD 1g diff if it will work. He just has to sit pretty and ask nicely. LOL

There was a post on here a while back where someone lengthened each front arm by 3/4" and used dsm axles. You could do this and use 92.5-94 fwd 1g dsm turbo axles as they have the larger axle splines for the 2g tranny. Only thing is they won't be equal length. Still much easier than swapping the diff out though in my opinion.

Edit: link to extending the arms. http://www.4g61t.org/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 20#p237420

Ok, now have fun trying to find the 92.5-94 larger-splined axles. Almost all axle manufacturers don't even know the larger spline axles exist.

According to Napa online they carry them, the inner joint on the 92.5-94 turbo axle has 27 splines and the 90-92.5's only have 25. Then again theres always the junkyard.

I'm not saying this is the only way to do it, I'm merely tossing out the idea.

I've relied on aftermarket suppliers who say they have the "right" ones before too, and I've gotten burned. Just depends on how good their supplier is, or if it's a re-manned axle, or what the deal is. I'd just find a 1g FWD trans and take all the guess work out of it, but whatever.

Thats another thought, sell the 99 trans as they're worth more anyway and just pick up a 1g turbo tranny.

I know that you're 100% capable of making it work. That's why I told you to have fun.

I just talked to Jack from Jacks transmissions. Its going to be easier to sell this and get a 1g trans, Which reallllly sucks. I'd rather not spend money. and keep my free one.

He said that id probably have to do some machining to make the 1g diff work. Im going to compare side by side when i get to the garage tonight, to see just how different they are
