Ok time to let the cat out of the bag. I am going to be building a new motor for my 91 Eagle talon. Evo 9 pistons and 1g big rod's I been reading and reading I don't see why I won't stick with stock mitsu parts in the block. There are a few good records Mike Rizzotti 10.462 in the 1/4 and his mph record is 138 I seen it on dsm talk. On stock block. So That's what the plan is. I am going to go with E85 on the fuel setup . Bosch 044 I mean I just don't feel like going in to detail on the hole setup but if it does not atleast make it into the 10's I don't know why I built it.

I took a few pic's of the evo 9 pistons on the rods and the 1g dsm pistons. I couldn't belive how much smaller the evo 9 rods are to the dsm 1g rods.

Mitsu made the rods right the first time around.

Less weight the quicker the motor can build rpm's. Smaller rod's equal less weight but also less strength, guess its a trade off.

Yes I guess it is. But not a trade off I would want.

Colt is geting sold. It is going to a great friend of mine. He is also the guy that got me into dsm's. Basicly he took me under his wing and showed me the ropes. He plans to put a built motor in it and somthing line a 16g and conv. it to awd. So this setup I am building is going in the talon. I will not reach my power goals with the 60trim but it will work for now.

Lol sorry I didnt catch that but yes so much for the days of turboing the na. It worked out nicely just selling off the colt to help pay for some more stuff for the talon.

Today I took the block to cae motors to have it decked cleaned and checked. I also took the head as well to be cleaned decked new valve guides and seals. Along with him installing the bc valve springs and retainers.
