So today I started working on taking the old core support off after my run in with a deer. Which was not anyfun. I have owned this dsm for a few years now and this is not the way I want to see it go so I had to fix it.

thats a slight ben in the upper structur of the car which I will be able to pull out with a strap after drilling out some of the bodys spot welds to make it easyer
Image
removed the ic to see if there was any lower damage in the core support but the lower part looks to be fine.

I will try to get some more pic's up tonight. I took the hole upper core support off. I have to take the core support off of the front clip that I have. I am going to try to get that done tonight. I have to borrow a welder from work then spot weld everything back together and I should be good to go. I have to pull a little more on the upper support rail on the passager side to get it back to where it need's to be but shouldn't be to bad I don't think.

Tyler, :supz:

Nice work! I see in the last picture you got rid of your shoes. You weren't kidding. Barefoot bodywork, you're a madman.

Ha it does not bother me I will work in what ever. I just been busy with everything so I have to make the time to mount up the new core support if all goes well it should just fit on like a glove. I can't deside if I want to go carbon fiber hood or just go with another stocker.

I been kinda slow on updating this. I have been test fiting the new core support there was a couple of areas that are still a little off I gotta ppush the car outside and put a chain around a tree and use the comealong. This was alot of work but I would rather do it then pay some one to do it.

Tyler,

Try to post up some more pics tonight.

Ok so I got off my butt and got the core support on. I have already test fit all the body parts the car should be good to go. Here is a few pic's I did all of this stuff out of my shop with nothing more the a come along and simple hand tools and a nice welder.

Image
There it is welded in place and ready to go.

Image
I had to cut the upper frame rail open to beat the inside back into place so I could get my head light motor bolted up to it right.

You can see in this pic that I have to pull a little more or to get it back in place. I am going to have to push the car out side and use a comealong with a chain around a tree to get this where it needs to be. What can I say I am a hillbilly

Image
another of the part I still have to fix

Tyler,
