Time for a quick update on the car (1990 Mirage). The engine is done and ready for pick up tomorrow. Eagle rods, Ross 8.3:1 pistons, fresh stock head, 272/272's, Felpro Permatorque gasket, ARP head studs. Same turbo, GT35R.

I also purchased Kiggly's HLA regulator
http://www.shop.kigglyracing.com/produc ... roductId=7

Brakes:
Installed 4 fresh wheel bearings and the Wilwood 4 pot Chris Burns big brake kit.

I ordered two 28" stainless lines for the rear calipers and mounted them somewhat stock. I was running rubber lines.

Furthermore, I installed a 2G turbo 15/16" master cylinder and a 93 T/E/L proportioning valve. I needed to custom bend one brake line and re-flare it, but for the most part it bolted right up. I'm very excited to test the new brake setup out.

Fuel:
I purchased a Walbro 392 inline pump and 1150cc injectors for the new setup. The inline pump is currently operated by a switch in the center console, but I may change that to turn on with a pressure switch at a certain boost level. LED in dash to tell me when it's on. I ran -6 from the in tank pump, to the inline, to the hard fuel line. At that point, I said screw it and added 9 additional feet of -6 from the inline pump right to the Fuelab filter in the engine bay and bypassed the stock hard line. I also have a -6 line from the Fuelab filter into the rail.

I installed two relays in the trunk which feed off a stock T/E/L battery fuse box. I rewired everything so 10 gauge is essentially running from the battery + and - to each fuel pump.

You can also see my "custom" fuel pump harness connector. I removed all blade terminals and soldered 10 gauge to everything.

Other:
I installed an MSD DIS 2, JDM indicators, I will be installed a FMIC sprayer with EVO3 IC sprayer nozzles that came on my E3 bumper.

Once I somehow get a couple thousand miles on the new motor I'm heading down to Illinois for some dyno tuning with Mike Reichen and Yusuf.

Yusuf is the man! I'm running that dude's old transmission in my GSX as we speak. Good luck with the build, sounds like it will be a sick setup when it's all done. Can't wait for more pics and vids.

Forgot to include my breather/catch can/recirc drain.

Two -10 off the valve cover to a catch can, -12 from the catch can to intake tube, -6 drain back into the block.

Stock PCV system into a second catch can

The HLA regulator keeps the pressure in the head to 15psi. The cams and turbo are a separate feed.

From what he told me, it helps keep oil in the pan where it needs to be at the end of a quarter mile pass. It also does some other things like bleed off air at the highest point and keep the lifters happy so there is less chance of rockers popping off and such.

The idea is that by the end of a quarter mile pass or long pull, there is a lot of oil pooled in the head that should be down in the pan.

Hope that helped.

Kind of like the jdm motor's spring relief, kiggly just uses a restrictor instead of the spring though.

I installed a 2G washer fluid bin in the trunk for my EVO3 intercooler sprayers. I suppose it can also be converted for meth/water injection.

http://lilevo.com/lilevo2/fmicspray/fluidres2.jpg

I also rigged the stock cluster low washer fluid bulb to come on when the FMIC sprayer is empty. Neat huh? :)

I installed a Hobbs pressure switch to turn on the second fuel pump and FMIC sprayer at 23psi automatically. An LED in the dash also illuminates to tell me that they have been activated.
