Here are a few pics of my newly acquired 89 Colt GT. I picked it up this week from the 2nd owner who has owned it for the last 17 years. The car is in surprisingly good condition for a 20 year old car. Mods are few but include a 4G63T engine swap with 16G turbo on a custom stainless manifold, bigger injectors (not sure of the size), custom intercooler setup and cold air intake, and exhaust. The car has been a southern car since new and has zero rust. The interior is darn near mint with only minor wear on the driver's seat. The back seat looks as if it has never been sat in. I detailed the exterior today but the interior is untouched and will be professionally cleaned a little later. I still need to detail under the hood as well. Anyway, on to the pics!

Very clean. Is that original paint? It almost looks too shiny to be original, haha.

Nope, it was re-painted about 10 years ago and it is far from perfect. I will probably be having a few places touched up.

Wow... I love the FMIC, the car looks great! Also, does anyone know what rims those are?

His car is very clean, don't get me wrong, but there are guys on here who have cars with original paint that are just as clean, if not cleaner.

I think its connected to the lower pipe, at least I hope. I had a car come by that had the BOV installed on the intake pipe. Some other local shop had done that for him. Reason he came by......the BOV wouldnt make noise. I laughed for about 45 minutes then I called the other shop and asked them why they didnt just weld it to the windsheild......

Good eye! I hadn't even noticed that. It is indeed on the intake pipe. Not much "whoosh" gonna happen there. I'll have to rib the previous owner about that. I hope it hasn't damaged the turbo. Once I get it running that will have to be the first thing that I correct.

You know what's wild? I saw that when you posted those pics and noticed the same thing about the BOV. I just figured it was installed upside down but after a second look I saw that it was mounted in an improper place.

Got yourself a good car there. Its a prime example of a car a little short on execution.. Take a few minutes to clean up the wiring to the maf translator with a wire loom and clean up all the other bits, and it would take a good car and make it a very good clean car.
