Yes, it was me. I love these cars, and can see that you guys do too. Lancer/Mirage Singkit's FTW (For The Win). :P Good to see your project coming along.

Are you allowed to turbocharge or otherwise swap in a tubocharged motor into a stock NA car in the Phillipines; or is it illegal to make such modifications?

I see alot of guys installing 4g63 NA motors, as I imagine parts are easy to find, compared to turbo parts.

@dsm_gvr_4 and MattGSR: thx paps :D

@Flying Eagle: interms of engine upgrade it really depends here. but i see that most of us go to the N/A motor rather than to the turbo one. i guess one of the reason is we dont have enough roads here to compensate with a turbo engine. and one factor also is a good mechanic. yeah parts here a really easy but is too pricy. were still a third world country and even thou parts are here and there. in terms of mirage parts (singkit) its hard to come by.

that why my first engine swap was from a boxtype gsr 4g37 carb type. then i broke it. then i mess up with my 4g13 carb type also. i live besides a mountain pass so im not much high powered engine for now. but been craving for a awd. may be after my current project il start a awd. but thats if i earn like 70gran amonth thou :D

Just an update. after months of working and OT's. the project is finally done. here are the pix

at first i was never planning to have a Gti set up cause its hard to get that body kit here in our country. but i stumble on getting a original Gti rear bumper and front bumper. so the next stop was on the paint. i have no idea which paint i would get. i wanna be different cause in the phil Singkit as we call it are such underdogs. so i wanna to stand out. hope you guys like it.

Glad you posted up your progress. Love what you have done with your car. Makes me want jazz up my ride a bit, but for now it's a bit of a rat rod.
Those yellow light bulbs have me mesmerized, they are hard to look away from. I too will install some HID's into my Colt, should be able to keep up with my Buick anyways.
Can't believe they had a destroked version of the 4g15, same block less stroke. Maybe find a 4g67 motor from a Hyundai, or a 4g63/4g64 and get into the 120+ HP range.
